Italy's Throw Down Bones are something of an enigma in the experimental underground. Since the release of their highly-praised 2015 self-titled album, they've picked up a notorious reputation on the European live circuit for their pulverising, constantly-mutating live shows.

In a review of the debut, album listeners were told to 'make no mistake, this is dance music' and that may have been true back then but now, back with their second album titled Two, the band have taken that to a whole new extreme.

Ditching the hypnotic coldwave tendencies of their earlier work for an all-out sonic assault of industrial four-to-the-floor rhythms and screeching acid house. Two is due for release via Fuzz Club Records on October 26th and see's the band deal in floor-shaking industrial techno-post-punk occasionally steeped in a euphoric acid-house sheen.

Where the old Throw Down Bones was better suited for intimate venues and psych fests (of which they were a frequent staple, from Liverpool to Eindhoven and everywhere in between), this new evolution sees them turn their eyes to the most underground techno clubs and the sleaziest warehouse venues.

Imagine Death In Vegas, Factory Floor and Aphex Twin jamming in a room together and you might come close but Throw Down Bones would be reluctant to point to any influences'. For them, their corrosive industrial workouts are simply the product of their environment and attitudes, as opposed to who they're listening to at any given moment.

The two key members of Throw Down Bones are Francesco Vanni and Dave Gali but on this effort, their producer James Aparicio also played an integral part in writing the album. Francesco spends his time building bespoke FX pedals and analogue synths under the name Noise Militia and James was formerly the in-house engineer at the Mute Records studio, his credits including Spiritualized, Liars, Nick Cave, Depeche Mode, Mogwai and many, many more.

With Noise Militia prototypes littered around the studio, Francesco and Dave's knack for instrumental experimentation and James'studio prowess, it should come as no surprise that the result is a collection of tracks that push Throw Down Bones'electronica right to the brink. If you like your music intense, punishing and ear-drum-rattling then this is the record for you.

The first three tracks on the album First Follower', We Are Drugs'and Slow Violence'lay out the bands mission from the off, bursting through a pulsing electronic throb are unrelenting motorik basslines that twist and contort as they circles around and around and around, layers of juddering hardware electronics constantly punching through.

Then there's Golovkin', a merciless all-out rave track that zaps you right in the cortex and the electro-throb of Zero Day Exploit'that, like a cyber-attack of the same name, is an unstoppable attack on the senses - it's less in-your-face than the rest of the album but try and stop that programmed acid-tinged groove from tearing through your bloodstream.

It's too late, you won't stand a chance. If their earlier instrumental-oriented works leant into dance territory, then this is the band embracing that with open arms and wide eyes ready to soundtrack the mother of all parties, one punctuated by pure hedonism and a sense that this could very well be the last dance on this wretched rock.

Available on 180-gram vinyl. On the latest Fuzz Club Session we dragged The Gluts from their native Milan to bring them aboard Soup Studio, a boat turned recording studio in East London's Trinity Buoy Wharf.

A formidable live force, the session sees them scorch their way through six tracks of relentless, grimacing noise-punk that captures the band's snarling, fuzzed-out power in all it's glory - translating just as well in the studio as it does when they're on stage.

The LP, due for release November 23rd, contains five tracks from their Fuzz Club released sophomore album, Estasi (2017), and one cut from their debut album Warsaw (2014).

The cliché that circulated after the 2016 election foretold a new artistic golden age: Artists would transform their anger and anxiety into era-defining works of dissent in the face of authoritarianism.

Yet Bob Mould calls his new album Sunshine Rock.

It's not because Mould'whose face belongs on the Mount Rushmore of alternative music'likes the current administration. His decision to 'write to the sunshine,' as he describes it, comes from a more personal place - a place found in Berlin, Germany, where he's spent the majority of the last three years. Here Mould would draw inspiration from the new environments.

'Almost four years ago, I made plans for an extended break,' Mould explains. 'I started spending time in Berlin in 2015, found an apartment in 2016, and became a resident in 2017. My time in Berlin has been a life changing experience. The winter days are long and dark, but when the sun comes back, all spirits lift.'
These three years in Berlin would quite literally shed new light on Mould's everyday mindset.

'To go from [2011 autobiography] See a Little Light to the last three albums, two of which were informed by loss of each parent, respectively, at some point I had to put a Post-It note on my work station and say, Try to think about good things.'Otherwise I could really go down a long, dark hole,' he says. 'I'm trying to keep things brighter these days as a way to stay alive.'

That makes Sunshine Rock as logical a product of the current climate as any rage-fuelled agit-rock. Variations on the word 'sun' appear 27 times in five different songs over the course of the album's 37 minutes. To hear Mould tell it, the theme developed early.

'Sunshine Rock is one hell of a  way to wrap up the busiest decade of my career,' he shares. 'The autobiography, the Disney Hall tribute show, reissues of several albums from my catalogue, three current rock band albums, several world tours, and now this new album ' I'm humbled and grateful to still be making new music while celebrating my lifetime songbook.'

TUTTI is comprised of eight soundscapes: an audio self portrait comprising of manipulated sound recordings from Cosey's life, music and art: 'It's the only album I've made that is an all encompassing statement expressing the totality of my being.

A sense of the past in relation to the present and everything in between.' These eight pieces were originally conceived as the soundtrack to the autobiographical film Harmonic Coumaction', and performed live in February 2017, part of a series of events that accompanied the COUM Transmissions retrospective which opened Hull UK City of Culture 2017.

Later that year, Harmonic Coumaction'was presented as an audio-visual installation for Cosey Fanni Tutti's solo exhibition at Cabinet Gallery, London. Cosey Fanni Tutti explains: 'Working on the COUM Transmissions exhibition also coincided with writing my autobiography - collating archive material and re engaging with my past.

My work is a continuum, the past feeding the present and vice versa. The album is an interpretation of my past and present, of my understanding the shifting perceptions of how they inform one another. One form creating another through a metamorphic process.'

On TUTTI, the music has been updated and enhanced with elements of the original tracks re-recorded and further processed specifically to create a unique stand-alone document, separate to the live performance and installation.

Recorded at Cosey Fanni Tutti's studio in Norfolk, the album, as on her debut release, Time To Tell, merges Cosey's art activities with her exploration of sound: The album's autobiographical theme is not locked into any specific time or place, the voices', instruments and sounds together span decades of my life, music and art. In this context my name 'TUTTI'shifts from its role as a noun to perfectly represent the concept of the album, also acting as sign for me the artist.

TUTTI is Cosey Fanni Tutti's only solo album release since 1982's Time To Tell. Time To Tell was recently given its first release on vinyl, on a long awaited official deluxe edition. The interim years between solo releases has seen a blisteringly prolific output as an artist and musician.

Renowned for her art, her work in the sex industry, as co-founder of Industrial music and Throbbing Gristle, and her pioneering electronic music solo and as Chris & Cosey, Carter Tutti and Carter Tutti Void, she has created throughout with the motto 'my life is my art, my art is my life'.

Cosey's autobiography ART SEX MUSIC was published to worldwide acclaim by Faber & Faber in 2017, a Japanese edition has just been published with further translations and an audio book to follow.

With Sara Neidorf on drums, Hakon Adalsteinsson on guitar &  Heike Marie Rädeker on bass supporting Anton Newcombe in these sessions that were recorded between December 2017 & January 2018 at Cobra Studios in Berlin .

The band have just completed successful tours of the USA ,Canada, Australia, New Zealand & Europe. "Forgotten Graves" is released in the same month as the world commemorates the hundredth anniversary of the World War 1 ('the war to end all wars'), this war never ended any other war & more forgotten graves are being added every day.

Re-release of second studio album "Narcotica" via Berlins independent label 8MM Musik and Anton Newcombe's 'A' Recordings.

While staying true to their Nico and Velvet Underground inspired colors, broader timeless inspiration of New Wave, Post Punk, and Shoegaze are accentuated through out the their second full length.

The band present a strong balance between relatively uptempo songs such as "Caught Crow" or "Delete My Ideals" and the atmospheric and psychedelic in tracks "I Will Never" and "Son Of The Ocean".

Narcotica was self produced with the assistance of Anton Newcombe at Studio East in the former Communist East German sound recording complex in Berlin, Germany.

10th anniversary remastered edition of self-titled debut album.

The story of The Blue Angel Lounge began in the post-industrial town of Hagen in Western Germany in 2006 when Nils Ottensmeyer and Dennis 'Mel' Melster, both with abundant talent and little to do, began sculpting soundscapes. The band recorded and self-released their debut self-titled album in 2008, and shortly thereafter caught the attention of 8MM Musik in Berlin.

The band took their name from the club in New York City that in the 1960's offered Nico (Velvet Underground) her first live performances in America. Nico would remain an underlying influence on the band.

Initially a 6 piece darkly psychedelic outfit, with their second LP 'Narcotica' (8MM Musik 2010), they began subtly introducing post-punk elements to their melodic songwriting, and the intensity of Nils O's vocal began to come to the forefront.

Strangers to the mainstream, but revered by a steadily expanding fanbase around the world, the band have earned the respect of other groups such as Interpol, The Dandy Warhols, and A Place To Bury Strangers and been invited to support them on tour.

Anton Newcombe (founder of The Brian Jonestown Massacre), a fan of the band, assisted with production of 'Narcotica', and in 2012 The Blue Angel Lounge supported The Brian Jonestown Massacre on a tour of the United States, earning rave reviews.

The band played Roskilde Festival in 2013 and been twice invited to the Austin Psych Festival (now called Levitation) in Austin, Texas (2011 and 2012). In November 2012 they supported The Dandy Warhols across England, France, Holland, and Belgium.
