NHS 10th Anniversary EP Series: Sky Valley Mistress: Acoustic Session EP
Available on Ltd Edition CD in a bespoke Die cut, 10th anniversary digipack of 150 only.
2021 is a landmark of a kind for New Heavy Sounds, as it is 10 years since the label first started back in 2011. In order to mark their 10th year, New Heavy Sounds will be releasing a series of 10th anniversary CD EP’s in very, very limited editions.
These E.P’s will contain new or exclusive tracks from their roster and beyond and will be available by mail order only.
The first of these limited editions features Blackburn stoner blues rockers Sky Valley Mistress. Before lockdown hit in 2020 the band recorded an acoustic set and these songs make up this anniversary release.
The set contains 4 songs from their debut album. ‘You Got Nothing’ ‘Skull and Pistons’ ‘It Won’t Stop’ and ‘She Is So’.
This is SVM in intimate mode, just keyboards, percussion, guitar and the sonorous vocals of Kayley Davies. The stripped-down mode really allows her to shine and more than anything showcases what a brilliant expressive voice she has.
Recorded in their studio and specially re-mastered for this release, New Heavy Sounds hope you’ll be as captivated as they were when they heard them.
The Sky Valley Mistress acoustic sessions E.P. is set to be released on March 26th.
1. You Got Nothing (acoustic)
2.‘Skull and Pistons (acoustic)
3. It Won’t Stop (acoustic
4. She Is So (acoustic)

The Moons return with their final single "The Lone Wolf' a mellow yet contagious number soaked heavily in melody and recorded in studio 2 Abbey Road London. The single is the third release from the successful Pocket Melodies album.
The Lone Wolf is an outcast. A lost soul stuck inside the narrow walls of his mind and possibly by choice. He built this world to save himself but dreams what it would be like to fit in. To be accepted. On the flip is a charming piano version of the working class love song An Ordinary Romance.
The song features at the end of the Pocket Melodies documentary ‘Inside The Melodies’ and was a spontaneous live recording by Andy Crofts while sat in Black Barn Studios waiting for people to arrive for a session.
