James Adrian Brown 'Generator'

James Adrian Brown announces debut solo album Forever Neon Lights with lead single Generator on Castles In Space.

Hot off the heels of producing Benefits’ critically acclaimed album Constant Noise earlier this year, and following a continual flow of singles, collaborations, remixes, and EPs since 2022, former Pulled Apart By Horses guitarist turned electronic pathfinder James Adrian Brown unveils the first glimpse of material from his long-awaited debut album with the release of Generator, out digitally on October 31st and as a limited CD EP featuring exclusive reworks/remixes from label mates Warrington Runcorn New Town Development Plan, Field Lines Cartographer, signature Phantasy Records artist James Welsh, and Werra Foxma.

Generator is a pulsing, pumping, and energising statement of intent that captures the spirit of Brown’s long awaited conceptual debut. As its title suggests, the track embodies motion and motivation, reminding listeners that “we all need to generate energy to get things done in all walks of life.”

Reflecting on Generator, Brown says:
“Generator is about creating your own momentum and powering through life’s challenges. We all have to find and build our own energy source to keep moving forward. For me, it’s about resilience, staying true to your dreams, and making them real.”

The album Forever Neon Lights, releasing January 30th, 2026, via Castles In Space, is inspired by Brown’s formative memories of visiting the Blackpool Illuminations as a child. Those bright lights by the sea became a personal symbol of hope, possibility, and escapism, shaping the creative vision Brown now brings to his solo work.

With its propulsive energy and reflective concept, Generator offers an intense, shimmering, and luminous first glimpse into the world of Forever Neon Lights.
