Nottingham’s six. by seven, released their first album, The Things We Make to rave reviews in 1998. Five Peel Sessions followed, an appearance on ‘Later With Jools Holland’ and much touring.
The band gained a strong underground following, and released four more albums. Lead singer and creative force, Chris Olley preferred to shun the limelight, releasing internet only albums of wide ranging music and building distortion boxes for a number of famous bands.
This album sees the release of what is arguably one of six.by seven’s most accomplished albums. Nine songs of the pure feral guitars the band is known for and nine songs penned by Chris Olley. "Lyrically, most of this album was about human beings learning to let go. It was about forgiveness, peace, love and understanding. It was written during a period of emotional turmoil and sadness. I didn't know it at the time but I knew those feelings couldn't go on forever."
