The latest album from Robb & the Irregulars, Voila! Here We Are is thirteen songs that celebrate being alive & making a racket, watching the moon sail out over the sea, old punks with ukuleles, emergency Marmite sandwiches, riding on the 149 bus & the union train, appalled by what has been done to Gaza, but determined to stay cheap & cheerful.

Fae Simon takes lead vocal fabulously on two songs, Roger Watson returns to the studio for the first time in over a decade to provide some tasteful melodeon, Sian Allen’s horns ensure the Robb’s electric guitar is kept within acceptable limits, & John Forrester on thunderous, inventive bass & new Irregular Kirsteen Bristow on drums & nifty percussion drive everything irresistibly onwards…There’s even a bit of samba at one point (briefly).
