As Twilley explained, “Bill had been with me since ‘I’m On Fire’…I could just sing a note to him and he’d know exactly what I wanted. It was one of those things where you barely needed to talk. My wife, who engineers the records, would say, ‘Pitcock speaks Twilley,’ because we just had a way of communicating.”
