Watch the video here: http://bit.ly/1HF4ymT Go! is the second single to be taken from Public Service Broadcasting's critically-acclaimed new album The Race For Space.

The album reached #11 in the UK album charts, #1 in the Independent Chart & #1 in Record Store Chart in it's first week, spent 3 weeks in the top 50 and selling over 16,000 copies in the first 4 weeks since release.

The single is a fiery and confident speed-trial of a track, with an infectious hook and the most unlikely sing-along dialogue of the year, all counting down to the moon landing itself when Neil Armstrong utters the relief-filled words, 'The Eagle has landed'.

The Race For Space is out now via Test Card Recordings and tells the story of the American & Soviet space race from 1957-1972 via the duo's eccentric mix of guitar-driven electronica, propulsive drumming and spoken word samples culled from this uniquely rich period of modern history. The band are currently in the midst of a globe-trotting tour.

They return to the UK in April where they commence what promises to be a sold out tour following their London, Brighton, Birmingham & Manchester dates selling out 2 months up front. A show at the 02 Academy, Brixton has been announced for Sunday 29 November.

Go! will be released on 7' vinyl on 11 May 2015 with a remix on the B-side from Scottish electro-post-rockers Errors who have just released new album Lease Of Life. The Race For Space follows Inform - Educate - Entertain, Public Service Broadcasting's debut album which has sold over 50k copies worldwide.

PSB's debut album entered the UK charts at #21 and has gone on to sell over 40,000 copies worldwide.

It received widespread critical acclaim, including 5* Album of the Month from Artrocker plus 4* reviews from The Guardian, The Independent and many more. It was also picked by BBC 6Music DJs & staff as the 9th best album of the year and appeared in many best of the year lists. 2014 has been another busy year with tours of the US & Europe including sold out shows in New York, Rome & SXSW in Austin plus a support tour with the Manic Street Preachers in May.

Another hectic summer festival season beckons with profile slots at Bestival, Camp Bestival, Larmer Tree and many more up and down the country not to mention a slot on the Westholts Stage at Glastonbury. New material follows later in the year.

Taking in archive material from the BFI and StudioCanal along with classic American public information films the album sees the corduroy-clad J. Willgoose, Esq. and his faithful drumming companion, Wrigglesworth, seeking to fulfil their mission statement over a wide range of subject matter and styles. Through both the record and their uniquely spell-binding live audio-visual 'Transmissions', audiences witness the band weave samples from these films around live drums, guitar, banjo and electronics, creating an array of diverse tracks. What emerges is, by turns, thrilling, moving, funny and powerful; or, if you will, informative, educational and - most of all - entertaining.

The Independent's Simon Price said of the band : In their love of history, and their understanding of the dignity of the wartime generation, they remind me of British Sea Power, although Stereolab are closer sonically. PSB are progressive without the florid ornamentation of Prog, dense and complex with not a semiquaver wasted. It's an industrious, diligent sound, and, in the flesh, surprisingly danceable: slamming chemical beats accompanied by old cine footage, providing a peculiar opportunity to party to Pathe news.

Public Service Broadcasting are pleased to reveal the release of a double LP/CD live album of their sold-out performance at Brixton Academy from The Race For Space'Tour, recorded on 29 November 2015. A taster of this release can be viewed here as the band perform their celebration of the moon landings with crowd favourite, Go!'

'We first talked about the possibility of a live album and DVD a long while before Brixton and I have to confess that I ruled it out almost immediately' says frontman J. Willgoose, Esq. 'I was persuaded over a few months, though, by both the reaction on the night - which was overwhelming - and of those who watched the stream as it went out live, that something special had occurred and it truly was worth documenting. Brixton had been a dream of mine ever since seeing the Manics there on their Everything Must Go tour many moons ago. Playing there as Public Service Broadcasting, and selling it out, was something I never even thought of as a possibility. It's my favourite venue in the world and we wanted to make it a show to remember.'

The show features arena-level production crammed onto the Brixton stage with a 13- piece choir, 5-piece string section, expanded brass section, a longer set list, Smoke Fairies guesting on Valentina, a surprise special guest, dancers, pyrotechnics and more as the London-based band wow a hometown crowd with a very special performance. The release will be accompanied by a DVD filmed on the night along with an audio commentary from the band and bonus features.

Public Service Broadcasting are pleased to reveal plans for a new EP this November which includes a brand new track - Korolev - whilst lead single, Sputnik - the most dancefloor friendly track on The Race For Space - has been remixed by some leading lights in the dance and electronic world.

While Sputnik'gathers tension as it carefully builds to its euphoric finish of wonder, new cut Korolev'carries a familiar progressive energy with a powerful riff at its core, and quick flashes of a grand brass section.

The EP will be released on 12' vinyl, CD & digital along with 4 stellar remixes from Blond:ish, Petar Dundov, Eagles & Butterflies & Plugger.

Korolev, or 'The Chief Designer' as he was referred to at the time, was the talismanic figure spearheading the Russian Space program and the lead designer of Sputnik. His untimely death in 1966 had a huge impact on the outcome of the Soviet battle with the United States to be the first nation to land a man on the Moon.

Sputnik embarks on a new path with Peter Dundov's relentless beat and tightly executed electronic twists whilst echoed words add a dark touch to Eagles & Butterflies' house-inspired electro flourishes. Canadians Blond:ish take us on a 12-minute voyage through an unpredictable range of textures, adding a spark to the soft, dazzling beat and creating a sense of nostalgia in the process. Plugger complete the EP, ramping up the intensity of Sputnik'as it journeys into an exhilarating groove.

    J. Willgoose Esq. points out, "Even back when I was still writing this album, I was imagining the kind of remixes we could get and the artists who we'd ask. I couldn't be happier with how it's turned out; I think this is a really interesting and fresh (and in some cases mildly bonkers, a good thing in my book) reinterpretation of our songs and I'm looking forward to sharing it with our fans."

Public Service Broadcasting announce This New Noise, the newly remixed and remastered live recording of their acclaimed 2022 BBC Proms show at London’s Royal Albert Hall, released on 8 September 2023 via Test Card Recordings. A celebration of the power of radio written in recognition of the centenary of the BBC, This New Noise saw the band joining forces with the 88 piece BBC Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Jules Buckley.

A standout performance from 2022’s BBC Proms, it received 5*s in The Telegraph who called it “a resonant, timely and ultimately touching show”. Founder member J. Willgoose, Esq. remixed the concert from scratch, bringing out even more depth and texture from a multi-layered performance and showing it in a new light. This New Noise is the second time Public Service Broadcasting have been commissioned for the BBC Proms.

In 2019 the band performed an orchestral arrangement of their 2015 studio album The Race for Space with The Multi-Story Orchestra to mark the 50th anniversary of the first manned mission to the Moon. In conjunction with the announcement, the band shares "Broadcasting House". Public Service Broadcasting have been “teaching the lessons of the past through the music of the future” for more than a decade now.

2013’s debut album Inform - Educate - Entertain used archival samples from the British Film Institute as audio-portals to the Battle Of Britain, the summit of Everest and beyond. Two years later, The Race For Space used similar methods to laud the superpowers’ rivalry and heroism in orbit and on the Moon. An indie DIY phenomenon the album has remarkably since achieved gold disc status having sold over 100,000 copies in the UK alone.

In 2017, joined by voices including Manic Street Preachers’ James Dean Bradfield, Every Valley was a moving exploration of community and memory via the rise and fall of the British coal industry. Their most ambitious undertaking yet, Bright Magic brought the listener to Europe’s heart and de facto capital, the cultural and political metropolis that is the ‘Hauptstadt’ of the Federal Republic of Germany – Berlin.

Released in late 2021, and debuting at No 2 in the UK album chart, the band’s fourth album was described by Electronic Sound as “their most ambitious, leftfield and majestic work to date, their glorious creative peak, their magnum opus”, DIY said “it flourished at its most calm and erupted at its most fervent” and Clash said it “cemented PSB's reputation as a vital act right at the top of their game”.

The album also featured multiple BBC Radio 6 Music A-Listed singles, including “People, Let’s Dance” [ft. EERA] and “Blue Heaven” [ft. Andreya Casablanca].
