After 4 years finally a sign of evil existence from War Master ATARAXY from Spain. Two new great tracks waxified in a seven incher by UK-based Me Saco Un Ojo Records.

Expect nothing else than the classic ATARAXY vibe, that great blend between BOLT THROWER, BENEDICTION and ASPHYX. With this ATARAXY prove one more time to be one of the most representative act of the genre.

These utter tunes depict the lugubrious Wasteland of Terror and those Magnificient sinistrous Spectres who trascend the Rubicon. In the bottom of the cover it's reported MMXIV whilst actually this has been released just few weeks ago. Anyway the two tracks are not new at all as they are from the same session of the great debut full-length 'Revelations of the Ethereal' lp12.

Anybody who felt ravaged for good by being exposed to Funerary Pit's landing on the underground via their debut recording Winds of Hell 2006 will no doubt have eagerly awaited news on their front ever since, like drops of rain on a drought season.

That EP, consisting of two tracks plus an intro (released on tape, 7" and CD format) had for too long remained their only studio effort. Its contents had also turned out to be to be a stronghold of murderous intentions and a true exhibition of muscle and character. It remains the sound of an unfathomable starvation, claiming for lives to be taken away and and dark times to reign supreme.

Australia has been delivering strikes of neat Metal at its more intense and chaotic for over three decades, and this trio from far down under sticks to the rules of their origin. Furthermore, Funerary Pit has never opted for the most uncontrolled edge and unsophisticated forms of expression of some of their compatriots, but instead display a more a sober and precise punch of death metal obscurantism, simultaneously draped in aggression and layers of taut moments.

The Tyrant Sea is the resounding EP that puts an end to this eight-year silence, and it could just as well have emerged back then too, reconnecting as it does with the very same starting point of their debut. Still brutal, all-demolishing, miserable and even hymnic at times, every hope and expectation placed on their continuity, resolutely fulfilled.

Giant waves of black waters inhabited by forces of the occult strive to reach a canopy of infuriating storming skies, singing the moment when the world's countenance will be gulped down forever.

Finnish grinders from Sonic Poison have recorded new stuff, and it wears a proud name 'Combat Grind'. With this lovely 7' the guys are acting like Jeffrey Dahmer.

They drill our heads with good and powerful noise and then they inject painful poison of old style Grind.

Grievous darkness arises a fog of nefarious nature, clouding the vision. Rather than an optical illusion it is an unavoidable moment at every man's existence. At some point as mortal ones, sooner or later we must face the end and assume the command of the utter call: then we all cease to exist.

The faithful and the unbelievers, either those who amassed wealth or those who are kings of the poverty line, both the sick and the healthy ones, shall face their destiny at last, on the very crucial instant which leads to the eve of their decease. May their lives have been burnt on its fullness or suffered worthlessly, the curtain of the great masquerade falls and finallly it is the time: the real performance on its hollowing wholeness.

The fragility of the body becomes irrelevant: eternity opens and it is not trace of peaceful shiny white lights as a welcomer, but an impenetrable silence, an obscurity like never witnessed before. It is not the fear, it is not affliction, but the absence of all hope and goodness.

That is the way Godless sounds on 'Sit Luceat Vacuum Nostrum' a 4 songs MLP (3 tunes plus 1 instrumental) which is another measured ration of reactionary death metal, very incantationish and morbidly influenced angel wise.

If you are among those whole like or dare to flirt with death, pure death metal the abominable way, then look no further. Undergang's debut full-length Indhentet Af Døden from 2010.

Described as 'Obituary twisted by Demilich', Indhentet Af Døden bludgeons you with brutal riffs performed with with an almost hardcore-like single-mindedness (that would be the Obituary part).

But don't confuse this with simple-mindedness; Undergang keep you on your toes by adding the odd weird riff and time-signature change (and that would be the Demilich twist).

Recorded in January 2009 in a rehearsal room at Rock Island, Islands Brygge with Morten. All music decomposed and executed by Undergang.

Burial Invocation started in 2008 as an ode to the ancient and obscure death metal demos of the 90's.

Following their own trail of desecration and decay, the band released a MLP, a split 7" with Anatomia and played on the first two incarnations of Kill-Town Death Fest before being laid to rest.

The time passed bereft of any signs of life, but the soil was uneasy, the graveyard was in turmoil and apparently the souls weren't ready to be obliterated in an ignominious grave yet...

Burial Invocation now ascends from its slumber once more.

With a certain maturity and poise, a sense of deep-set misery almost pushes the record into death-doom territory. Almost - ¦but not quite. The sound remains tensely energetic, albeit with a sense of space, time and songcraft which is more impressive than ever.

Gruesomely textured wraith-like melodies intertwine monstrously hammering double-bass rhythms, the delicate interplay of guitar harmonies threading a perfect line between devious subtlety and straight-ahead bludgeon. Perhaps above all else, the gasping tortured vocals imbue a horrific terror upon the listener. It is the sum of all parts which so masterfully elevate Ataraxy above their peers.

Few others have scaled such heights; in this timeless classic we witness a band enter the pantheon of death metal royalty.

Initially released on cassette in 2011 by Tour De Garde, Me Saco Un Ojo now gives the vinyl treatment to the debut album from Fuil Na Seanchoille. The name translates from their native Irish as 'Blood of the Old Forest' and the approach is suitably shamanic, hypnotic, cold.

Darkness and isolation pervades every note of Hunger, the album allegedly written as a testament to the City of London as the locus of all evil in this world. Monomaniacal in its bleakness, FNS is alienating and hateful with an energy both vital and raw.

Five years have passed since Me Saco Un Ojo exhumed the initial demos from the Celtic horde for 12 - " release - ¦the occult Irish black metal entity now prepares for the next chapter.

Bloodshot Red Vinyl. A glorious testimony to both bands'shared history, this 10 - " split harks back to when the entities first met: the sacrilegious madness and unholy intoxication of 2010's inaugural Kill-Town Death Fest.

Undergang offer forth an eight minute hymn of atonally disturbed churning hatred for your vomitous displeasure, exhumed from the crypts of 2011 and previously unreleased. Over the course of three LPs and over a half-dozen demos, splits and EPs, the grotesque Danish threesome have crafted a dense-yet-spacious sound of unique underworldly horror.

Hypnotic and miserable, their trademark unutterably guttural vocals, disgustingly down-tuned bludgeoning assault and bulldozer percussion sounds like something found in a sewer that was bricked up and abandoned in the last century.

Joined by Tokyo mutants Anatomia, the veteran Japanese death/doom coven fittingly present a likewise-unearthed curse from their former incarnation as a three-piece in 2010.

Magisterial and ominous in a spectre of haunting disdian, this stand-alone monument to decay is another almost-eight-minute epic, arrogant and disdainful in its splendid wrath.

The entire festering mess is suitably housed in simply dreadful artwork courtesy of the perverted mind of Undergang's D. Torturdød.

Repress of the classic debut full-length by Krypts, on splatter vinyl with upgraded artwork.

Festering in the underground since their inception in 2008, Helsinki-based Krypts are prepared to set free their debut full-length.

While the trademark Krypts'sounds from the 2009 demo and 2011 EP are there (lumbering low-end, bone-crunching riffs and toxic vocals), 'Unending Degradation' showcases a band which has honed their craft and are ready to deliver one of 2013's must-have death metal releases.

Five years and two new members - drummer Kauko Kuusisalo who joined right after the release of their debut album and second six-stringer Pauli Gurko who arrived last year - later, Finland's most in-your-face death metal band is back and they still are forging their way with a hammer.

'This was meant at first to be an EP' reveals their original guitarist Jukka Aho 'but it slowly grew into a full-length. Some of the songs date all the way back to 2012 and the material has had much time to ferment resulting in GOREPHILIA's most refined compositions yet. The lyrics explore the inner conflict and self-destructive nature of man - parting from his will, values and life.

The album was recorded with Tommi Otsavaara, mostly live in studio with the exception of vocals and guitar solos, just like for our debut.' If lately many of their contemporaries, including famed label mates KRYPTS whom Jukka is incidentally also part of, have decided to reconnect themselves with the classic Finnish sound'of the early 90's, GOREPHILIA have on the other hand decided to go against the tide and turn their gaze towards the US for inspiration.

Their goal is pretty simple: making sure their take on the genre has the kind of sudden impact few will recover from. Whereas others tend to wave around their prey, they're in for the kill and after Embodiment of Death'back in 2012, their second full-length Severed Monolith'is deemed to twist the knife in the wound even deeper.

The only moment where you'll be able to catch your breath is the interlude Words That Solve Problems', basically a stepping stone for the following onslaught, Black Horns'. And the first track previewed The Ravenous Storm'is no different, with its furious barrage of blasts and blistering solos.

Rounded off by Raul Gonzalez cosmic'artwork reminiscent of what he already had done for MORBUS CHRON, Severed Monolith'is just that, a testament to death metal crushing power.
