After 4 years finally a sign of evil existence from War Master ATARAXY from Spain. Two new great tracks waxified in a seven incher by UK-based Me Saco Un Ojo Records.

Expect nothing else than the classic ATARAXY vibe, that great blend between BOLT THROWER, BENEDICTION and ASPHYX. With this ATARAXY prove one more time to be one of the most representative act of the genre.

These utter tunes depict the lugubrious Wasteland of Terror and those Magnificient sinistrous Spectres who trascend the Rubicon. In the bottom of the cover it's reported MMXIV whilst actually this has been released just few weeks ago. Anyway the two tracks are not new at all as they are from the same session of the great debut full-length 'Revelations of the Ethereal' lp12.

With a certain maturity and poise, a sense of deep-set misery almost pushes the record into death-doom territory. Almost - ¦but not quite. The sound remains tensely energetic, albeit with a sense of space, time and songcraft which is more impressive than ever.

Gruesomely textured wraith-like melodies intertwine monstrously hammering double-bass rhythms, the delicate interplay of guitar harmonies threading a perfect line between devious subtlety and straight-ahead bludgeon. Perhaps above all else, the gasping tortured vocals imbue a horrific terror upon the listener. It is the sum of all parts which so masterfully elevate Ataraxy above their peers.

Few others have scaled such heights; in this timeless classic we witness a band enter the pantheon of death metal royalty.

Burial Invocation started in 2008 as an ode to the ancient and obscure death metal demos of the 90's.

Following their own trail of desecration and decay, the band released a MLP, a split 7" with Anatomia and played on the first two incarnations of Kill-Town Death Fest before being laid to rest.

The time passed bereft of any signs of life, but the soil was uneasy, the graveyard was in turmoil and apparently the souls weren't ready to be obliterated in an ignominious grave yet...

Burial Invocation now ascends from its slumber once more.

Many things have changed since the 2014 release of the band's acclaimed first full-length album, Abysmal Thresholds.

Main composer and guitarist Matti Mäkelä finally found some time to resurrect his funeral doom project TYRANNY and release one crusher of an album in 2015. A year later, CORPSESSED found a new bassist in Tuomas Kulmala (LIE IN RUINS and PERDITION WINDS).

And over the course of four long years, CORPSESSED completed their second full-length Impetus of Death, an album that manages to top it its predecessor in terms of heaviness and brutality while taking their epic sound a step further.

The second full-length from CORPSESSED is brutal; although it doesn't feel the need to break the 250 BPM barrier to show how tough it is.

Still rooted in the classic sound of the early 90's yet with its own doomy touch, it's really Impetus of Death's uncanny ability to bring forth a quite unique form of creepiness, almost cinematic in places and quite claustrophobic that sets them apart.

As Matti puts it best, 'What can I say? We like to keep things evil and ominous.'

With their reputation defined as one of the most important and prominent death metal bands of our era, CRUCIAMENTUM with their debut full-length album 'Charnel Passages' deliver what could very well be the death metal pillar of 2015.

Prior, over the last while, during a moment which included the UK death metal band going on hiatus, CRUCIAMENTUM have essentially taken the UK death metal scene by storm and had built their awareness solely on their 'Convocation Of Crawling Chaos' demo from 2009 and their 'Engulfed In Desolation' EP from 2011.

'Charnel Passages' is a massive death metal opus featuring the best work CRUCIAMENTUM have delivered to date. With a huge and clear sounding production (courtesy of Greg Chandler's Priory Recording Studio) that carries the ancient old school death metal vibe not exceeding 1993, 'Charnel Passages' is the embodiment of dark, crawling, brutal, skilfully played world destroying death metal the way it must be.

Fuckin'Death represented one of death metal's earliest recordings. Over a quarter of a century after its initial recording, 'Fuckin'Death' is not only one of the most brutal audio tortures of the mid '80s but one of the key ingredients in the early devilish recipe that gave us death fuckin'metal. Death Strike disbanded after 1985's Fuckin'Death demo and Paul Speckmann went on to front the legendary Master.

'Fuckin'Death' was eventually re-released in 1991 on CD and vinyl, with additional tracks penned by Speckmann and the Nuclear Blast label.

The LP reissue contains the original eight tracks offered by the 1991 Nuclear Blast edition. The layout features new liner notes from Paul Speckmann and a foreword by 'Zoltar' from Terrorizer.

Me Saco Un Ojo Records has sealed a pact with the UK's formative doom/death band Decomposed to release the long out-of-print 1992 EP 'The Funeral Obsession' along with the band's earlier demos (including an unreleased demo).

With artwork reproduced true to the original. Remastered by Dan Lowndes at Resonance Sound Studios.

Decomposed were a doom influenced death metal band. They formed in 1990, and released several demos and one EP before their single full length, Hope Finally Died..., in 1993.

Arriving like an unbidden nightmare from the depths of the abyss, Denmark's Deiquisitor follow last year's eerily unsettling debut LP with four fresh corpse-molesting tracks of hideously crypt-infested death metal.

Down-tuned and relentless, the sound is unutterably oppressive. A demon-spawning assault of inventive-yet-traditional filth, each element shines through in horrifyingly disgusting style.

The ceaseless barrage of death-factory percussion progresses the sound endlessly forward, while hell-dwelling vocals stand atop a mountain of putrefaction constructed from the guitar/bass interplay of this imperious three-piece.

A trip into the mountains of madness from which you may not return, simply put, this is too disturbing for most - ¦keep away if you value your sanity. We don't.

Dungeon’s debut MLP goes straight for the throat, the London metallions pillaging elements from speed, death and traditional heavy metal to build a pyre that burns with righteous indignation.

These six tracks display a classical education, paying dues to the masters of previous eras without ever straying into cheap pastiche, meanwhile retaining a puritanical might.

With more hooks than a butcher’s basement and a distinct lack of compromise, Dungeon respect the power of the riff. These songs have been forged in the flames of damnation and hammered into finely wrought weapons of conquest, bringing to mind undisputed heavyweights D666 and Nifelheim.

Much like those acts, there is a presence, a rawness, an energy to Dungeon which demands obeisance.

This opening salvo is merely a warning shot…the pure ambition and epic stature displayed on Purifying Fire reveals a storm on the horizon. Don your armour…prepare for spectral blitz.

Comprised by a French and a Dutch, both Metal maniacs, that first met in Milan, Italy in 2005 while studying together, became good friends, and of course, shared their passion for the old Metal sounds of early Thrash and Speed bands from the '80's.

Expect pure filthiness, hypnotical repetitive rhythms that will bring you to paroxysm and a hunger to bang your head, Tom G. Warrior's kind vocals from his hammer ov Hell days and even some Czech tones here and there. All of this will bring you to a more early '90's Scandinavian journey to the sounds of pure Black thrashing mayhem...

And the fact is that listening to the eight hymns included here, it seems as if the guys were playing together since longer than they really are. You can hear (... and feel, that's more important!) the old vibe of early stuff. They pretty much know how to give the right aura to their music and surely, they have a bright future in front, for sure.

DUNGEONHAMMER are what you were expecting and didn't come in the latest years. This is raw, filth induced sickness to enjoy with a couple of beer cans in front and the higher expectation of finishing the experience with a serious pain in your neck. Addictive and greatly recommended!

Death by name, death by nature; this debut EP from these Berlin maniacs storms the gates with raw intensity.

Defined by intelligent and nuanced songwriting, The Bleakest Force holds a maturity which belies the band's relative youth. It's been a long road to here; founded in 2012, after years of struggle, primogenitor Costa (ex Satan's Wrath) relocated Early Death from London to Berlin.

Recruiting members of Essenz and Evil Spirit, the final lineup came together in 2016 to craft these four hymns of evil. Pure old school thrash / death is the game, with an inventiveness that demonstrates immaculate taste and consummate knowledge.

Reminiscent of Nifelheim in its intensity, diversity and finely crafted approach, ED are firmly in the camp of death as opposed to dwelling in blackness. This is just the beginning...and the future is dark indeed.
