Two of Melbourne’s absolute finest are gathered here on a measly seven inches of vinyl, and they aren’t grouped together without reason! Both have migrated to Melbourne from further-flung regional quarters (Brisbane and Adelaide, respectively). Both groups also tap into an early 80's post-punk/disco sound; Terrible Truths with more of a crisp, modern sheen; while Hissey Miyake seem intent on investigating the exact point of mutation between NY no-wave and disco.
Second edition now on white vinyl!

Infinite Light / Vibracathedral Orchestra 'Baptised By Intuition / Get It?'
£5.99
Visit product page →Vibracathedral drop straight into a heads down fully tranced narco-dust trail, with guitar-born fireflies leading the way through a never-changing backdrop heat haze of low-lying smoke-mist and earth-veined throb.
Fx tweets and rattlesnake percussion shakes as mystic keyboard spirits blow in a weightless drift. The first cut from Infinite Light is a section lifted from a show featuring Barry Dean on guitar, Mick Flower on guitar and organ and Pete Nolan jamming the traps, and its a full, free-rock, psych-out captured through a heavy veil of no-fi smog.
By the sounds of this they must have blasted open the trans-dimensional portal to some out-of-time temple rituals. Part two is the opposite, exchanging blasted group workout for a solo piece of harmonic guitar vignettes wrapped around a falsetto vocal cadence fluctuating at the point of saturation. Art by Barry Dean, design by Mick Flower.

Infamous former front woman for seminal band, the Nymphs, Inger Lorre is making her long overdue return to the music scene. Following up 1999's solo record, Transcendental Medication and the collectable Motel Shootout single, Burn (1995) with a 7 single.
Inger admits her return to the music scene has been a long journey, The music I hear on commercial radio stations is mostly uninspiring. It makes me think how lucky I was to be part of that grunge scene and witness the success of bands like Sonic Youth. So I've been gathering my energy. For me making music is the easy part, dealing with people at major labels ' that was always hard. I never understood the value my music might have to others - I credit Jeff Buckley with making me see that. Until that point I didn't feel like I was doing anything important or good¦When Jeff died it was just one week after my father passed away, and it took me a long time to be able to move on from that trauma.
Why now? Having good people around me such as Henry Rollins and my long-time publicist and friend Faye has helped me feel strong and safe enough to create new music. I'm glad to step back into the music industry, independently and on my own terms ' I feel empowered. I also have a new band that are young, talented and full of enthusiasm!
Inger is currently working on a new album, but welcomes the opportunity to be involved in Record Store Day, I want to really celebrate the spirit of independence - record stores ran by music fans for music fans. These are the people I want to make great music for!
Snowflake is a song summing up the horror and the fear involved in addiction. I'm very pale skinned and 'Snowflake' was my street name. As a teenager and young adult I was trapped in a self-medicating addiction, as a form of protection against physical & verbal abuse and constantly being around alcoholism. As much as it harmed me it also saved me from becoming a teenage suicide. This song is the sound of me walking through fire. Hate in my Heart is about the downside of relationships, confused emotions and the fine line between love & hate. It's also about making the decision not to take anymore bullshit.

Jim Jones All Stars Announce Spring Tour In Support Of 7” Single ‘Gimme The Grease’. The explosive new project from garage rock godfather Jim Jones takes to the road to foul up your town! Jim Jones All Stars have announced details of their long-awaited, full-length UK and European tour in support of their new 7” single, ‘Gimme The Grease’, out now on Ako-Lite Records.Visit product page →
This is the first physical bite of their forthcoming album, ‘Ain’t No Peril’, which is scheduled for an autumn release. Returning to his natural environments of the stage and analogue studio, Jim Jones cements his position as the Grand Poo-Bah of red, raw rock’n’roll and the facilitator of illicit sonic thrills.
Having spearheaded garage rock pioneers Thee Hypnotics, and international favourites The Jim Jones Revue, Jim is at a point in his career where he is drawing from past, present, and future. Joined by Jim Jones Revue members Gavin Jay (bass) and Elliot Mortimer (piano and keys), drummer Chris Ellul (The Heavy), veteran punk blues guitarist Carlton Mounsher (The Swamps), and the threeway tenor/baritone sax attack of Stuart Dace, Chuchi Malapersona and Tom Hodges, this is the filthy grind and sonic ramalama that you’ve all been waiting for!
Having made a midnight offering at Clarksdale, Mississippi's legendary crossroads in the Deep South, ‘Gimme The Grease’ was recorded at Memphis Magnetic studios in Memphis, Tennessee – and it’s impossible not to feel that Southern alchemy oozing from this music.
“When you’re recording within spitting distance of the Mississippi river, there’s something about that heavy Memphis air that changes the way that you hear the groove and grind,” says Jim Jones. “’Gimme The Grease’ captures that feeling and bathes in that magic.”

Double, Double, Toil And Trouble'(Feat. Lene Lovich) is based on Shakespeare's classic, Macbeth. This darkly gothic number is filled with witches'chants, late evening operatic vocals and classical horror instrumentation which build into an epic orchestral stampede.
New wave legend Lene Lovich makes a rare special guest appearance and brings her trademark sound to this ideal Halloween track. Marie Antoinette'has been a major highlight of Kirsten Morrison's live shows across Europe.
This four-to-the-floor baroque style romp has devastated venues by combining an infectious groove and stratospheric operatic vocals in this ode to the legendary French Queen who met an unfortunate fate.

These guys don't wear shirts in public and have crappy tattoos and walk around their houses in the morning with their dicks flopping around, eating cereal with full fat milk.

A beloved & legendary American singer songwriter is on our next limited 7-inch release. Our label has always been a fan of the former MIRACLE LEGION frontman MARK MULCAHY & was privileged to have his contribution on the 2003 SIGMATROPIC album Sixteen Haiku & Other Stories & the 2 track subsequent exclusive remix 12-inch Could That Be The Voice? .Visit product page →
So we are really excited to have the first musical contribution from the Springfield, Massachusetts resident since his third solo 2005 album In Pursuit Of Your Happiness . Extremely proud, not only as this is an exclusive single for Tongue Master & a very interesting different musical direction for MULCAHY, but also because he is making a much anticipated foray back into the music world after the dark event of 2008: MARK MULCAHY put everything on hold to look after his children following the tragic death of his wife.
Low Birthweight Child & The Cottage That We Rented Had a Name are two gems that will delight the many fans, as there is an appearance of an instrument not prominent on past recorded glories - the keyboard. The breathy, acrobatic, sensual voice remains playfully intact, but the stereo speakers also glow with the warmth of the piano sound that is a perfect embrace.
The B-Side Cottage That We Rented Had a Name , is woozy, sublime & Soulful reminiscent of 70s analogue sound, parallel to the world of LIAM HAYES (aka PLUSH). Not sure if MULCAHY was wearing flared pants & wide-lapelled jacket & sporting massive sideburns during this recording, nevertheless it is a timeless slab & a euphoric moment. Low Birthweight Child is MULCAHY in a commanding vocal presence in a fine tempo strut.
Another vocal delivery that reminds us why it is much-lauded by the likes of THOM YORKE (Radiohead), MICHAEL STIPE (R.E.M), J MASCIS (Dinosaur Jnr) & author NICK HORNBY, to name a few. At the time of this release MULCAHY will, make a long-awaited return to the UK in December, for the first time since 2005, with a mini tour climaxing at All Tomorrow's Parties and THE NATIONAL - who as curators of this year's festival have recently invited Mark to perform there.
