Interplanetary Music from the National Heroes is the definition of a lost classic LP - bet you thought they had all been found by now?

20 years ago there was no internet or social media but there were three guys from London who kicked lo-fi indie-rock ass while supporting their friends Sebadoh, John Spencer Blues Explosion and the Boredoms in the early 90's scene. Well, they were probably too principled to push this lo-fi fuzz, folk, experimental LP to the masses.

Much like Further (their US kindred spirits), they didn't particularly want to sell themselves down the river but were too laid back to paddle upstream much either. 'Even the so called slacker bands had a business plan and an A&R guy in those days - we were just kicking back - John Peel playing us was about as commercial as we got'.

Some things come full circle and they are recording some new material with a US Indie stalwart in due course. But for now go and check out this 20 year anniversary re-release you indie lovers.
