    Black Moth: Tumbleweave
Since the release of their universally acclaimed debut, The Killing Jar, the Moth's brand of stoner rock has been picking up fans all over the place and all over the world it seems. This is the very first taster of the follow up. Once again at the production helm is uber Bad Seed Jim Sclavunos, and Tumbleweave is a monster slice of huge riffage with hooks and groove, all topped off by the vulpine vocals of Harriet Bevan. Believe us when we say that the new album is a killer.

    Baby In Vain: Sweetheart Dreams
These three girls from Denmark may be all under 20, but boy are they able to create a monstrous noise. We saw them play a blistering set at The Reeperbahn Festival when Antlered Man were in Hamburg for the event. Sweetheart Dreams takes the quiet/loud Grunge template and makes it quieter and louder and heavier, top that off with some sinuous dual vocals and you have a piece of heavy music that belies their years. Watch out for them when they come to Blighty for The Great Escape Festival.

    Limb: Plague Doctor
You may have heard this track as part of the recent Witch Hunter split single with fellow London sludgers Gurt. But you won't have heard it quite like this. Remixed to maximum sludge levels it's heavier than ever. Their debut long player on NHS will be out the week before this and this track is not on it.

    Throne: Ascender
This London trio have been much talked about for a while since their 7" release on NHS brought them to everyone's attention. So here's an exclusive, a brand new track full of their trademark visceral doom riffage, heavy groove and wonderfully melancholic and melodic vocals. This lot manage to make doom metal catchy as hell. Produced by wunderkind on the block Chris Fielding.

    Antlered Man: Alright Celebrate
This band are ferocious.. there's no two ways about it. Heavy and uncompromising as only they can be. Their mix of prog, hardcore and metal is truly unique, just check out their new album 'This Devil Is Them'. Then go check 'em out live.. they kick serious ass. This track is a new song not included on their album but also recorded with And So I Watch You From Afar producer Rocky O'Reilly.

    Monolithian: Sea Of Trees
Another bunch of young metalheads that are surely but steadily getting a name for themselves. This bass and drums duo from Cornwall create a wall of sound that most bands with more members can only aspire to. Heavier than Satan's gonads, they take in doom, sludge, crust, hardcore and twist it into something that is totally and crushingly their own.

    Transmaniacon: Please Kill Me
These guys have a pretty uncompromising concept album in the can for NHS. Inspired by a love for 70's hard rock, Transmaniacon take the weighty Hammond organ fuelled grooves of Mountain and Bloodrock into the 21st century. This track will not be on the album, and is a proggy take on an Alice Cooper/Alex Harvey style rock out.

Cut Yourself In Half: Little Misadventure
The Bradford riff machine as we like to call them. Noise, psychedelics tunes...they got 'em. Their debut album for NHS showed that this lot can truly pull riff laden hooks out of the bag like falling of a log. The album drew (welcome) QOTSA comparisons,  and this is a track from their debut, remixed and stoked up especially for this release.

    Vodun: Possession
Another London band starting to make some serious noise amongst those in the know. A raw and powerfull slice of voodoo fuelled turbo-metal riffage, Vodun are lucky to have at their disposal an awesome drummer, amazing guitarist and a truly brilliant  vocalist in Chantal Brown ' a new kind of power-trio! They rock like no one else and are also a mesmerizing live experience. This is another exclusive new track for this release and their first since their mini album 'Eat Up The Sun'.

Mars Red Sky: Clean White Hands
The Psychomagik club brought these French space-rockers to our attention, and then the completely 'on-the money' Desertfest people brought them over to blow us away at last March's event. Brooding fuzz-bass grooves, psyched out and heavy guitar licks of the Kyuss variety and super memorable vocal lines on this trademark slab of acid-doom. A new album and a UK tour this year we are told!
