Last few copies anywhere in the world of this single, rescued from an American distributor's warehouse. Wild is an upbeat pop number with an irresistible chorus, while the b-side The Brain Service is a dark, unsettling song that could easily have been an A-side itself.Visit product page →
Limited to 750 copies and individually numbered, the record is pressed on red vinyl, except those with a number 7 in the individual number, which are on swirly red and white vinyl.
Melody Maker wrote: 'Every time some naysayer pronounces guitar music dead, you can wave the Wild'single in their face and say, Ha! The great lost chord is herein and pretty f***ing magic it is too!' (Melody Maker) -

I'll Be Your Exorcist -
The Butterflies of Love first burst onto the scene in 1998 with their sublime debut single “Rob A Bank”, prompting DJ John Peel to literally applaud on air.Visit product page →
Their next single, the glacial “It’s Different Now” made NME Single Of The Week and their debut album “How to Know” was received with equal fervour, The Times describing them as “one of the last leaves clinging to the wintry tree of the American singer-songwriter tradition” and Mojo as “Dark, intoxicating music that joins the dots between REM, Phil Spector and Velvets”.
3 years later on, their faith in their own ability unbowed, The Butterflies of Love return with a new single and album, their finest recordings to date. Buoyed by the addition of guitarist Jason Mills to complement the line-up of songwriters Jeff and Dan Greene (both vocals/guitar… not brothers!), Peter Whitney (bass), Scott Amore (keys) and Neil O’Brien (drums), with star-in-his-own-right Mark Mulcahy contributing backing vocals, the recording took place with Alap Momin of the band Dalek at his Sweetwater Sound studio.
A double A-side, the single couples the Jeff Greene-penned AM radio hit “Orbit Around You” with Dan Greene’s woozy, psychedelic “In A Blizzard In A Lighthouse”, look out for debut the album “Famous Problems”.

Originally released in 1999 as an NME Single of the Week.
A beautiful, glacial slice of alt-Americana, reminiscent of Galaxie 500 with a little Dirty Three violin thrown in for good measure, the NME wrote of “The ridiculous, precarious joy of this record… a new chapter of American songwriting”. -
Great album that combines Jeff Greene's strung out psychedelic classics with Dan Greene's undoubted ear for a pop tune.Visit product page →
Features the singles wintertime queen', the mutation'and dream driver'.
'intense, beautifully melancholic pop music with something of the spirit of galaxie 500, a touch of Spector, a rub of The Who, even a pinch of Procul Harum or the Zombies' (soundsxp).
'yearning melodies and softly-softly harmonies (think the Go-Betweens), a back-porch swing (Lambchop, Maybe), tentative yet high-tensile guitar work (Velvet Underground, Pavement)' (Timeout).
'a glorious album that slowly drips into your psyche with songs that drift into your heart and set up camp for days.' (Tangents)
