Musically Embr's debut 1823'could be categorized as Doom'. However, it's obvious that EMBR have range, drive and a desire to add to the genre, to broaden it whilst staying true to its core fundamentals.

Rest assured, the band have all the nuts and bolts in place. Mark Buchanan (guitar), Alan Light (bass) and Eric Bigelow (drums) keep everything tight and weighty. Massive drop-tuned guitars, chest rattling low end, pounding drums, fuzzy distortion, it's all there. But they also add in synths, a bit of grunge and alt rock flavors.

The vocal talents of Crystal absolutely soar and strengthen the music. Her range, patterns and harmonies transport the band's music skyward. Crystal adds soul and an air of melancholia to the musical creations. If a pointer were needed, think Mastodon meets Witch Mountain with epic sweeps and a shade of gothic drama.

The songs on 1823 are loud, brutally beautiful, aggressive, abrasive and at times atmospheric, uplifting and emotional.

Abyss was recorded under a full moon over three intense days, and has the off the leash'abandon of Fun House'era Stooges'.

Sonically, it's a fat dose of doom meets slowed down hardcore punk; filled with loud, ultra distorted guitar, and yet, a surprising amount of melody as well.

In fact, Yuko has said that the band's name is a combination of Black Sabbath and Stereolab, well here on Abyss'is where that strange mix begins to make musical sense.

The band haven't lost their love of lo-fi or Riot Grrrl'attitude.
Vocals go from shoegaze melodic to hardcore screams. The guitars are loud and heavily gnarled to the point of chaos, and underneath all this, the drums rolling and tumbling thunder amidst the riffs.

Yes there is a smattering of Sabbathy Wizarding'of course, but submerged within dark, deep fuzz and punk rock crank and grind.

In truth the vibe is closer to both the arty heaviness of early Boris, and the sweet savagery of My Bloody Valentine, than any kind of doom'tropes. It's a sound that is undoubtedly BlackLab's own.

The second pressing is now available.
Limited edition transparent Sea Foam Green vinyl with a free download.
The Compact disc is a 4 panel digipack with lyric booklet.

Sky Valley Mistress are 4 young upstarts from Blackburn, Lancashire, full of spit and vinegar who have delivered a ferocious, two fingered hello to rest of the world with their debut album 'Faithless Rituals'.

Eight tracks of fierce passion and spirit, blistering stoner rock 'n' roll with huge riffs, buckets of fuzz and hooks guaranteed to nail you to the wall from the get go. Couple that with inciendiary playing one of the best female vocalists around ... you have one helluva debut album.

In fact, SVM could easily hold their own against the likes of Jim Jones, Rival Sons, Royal Blood, BRMC or any other rockers greasy or otherwise.
Still only in their mid 20's, you can only assume, on listening to their debut, that these young turks made that journey to those legendary crossroads and did the dirty deed with the dark one himself, such is the level of musicianship and vocal prowess on show here.

The album was recorded at the legendary Rancho De La Luna, Joshua Tree, California, and co produced by, and featuring Dave Catching (Queens Of The Stone Age, Eagles Of Death Metal and Mojave Lords amongst others) and like all great rock 'n' roll it has vibe and attitude in spades.

    Sky Valley Mistress are:
    Kayley 'Hell Kitten' Davies (vocals),
    Sean 'Starsky'Berry (Guitar),
    Russell 'Russell' Russell (Bass),
Maxwell Harvey William Newsome III (Drums/Percussion)

Cold In Berlin 'Rituals Of Surrender'

First vinyl pressing is limited to 500 copies in Transparent Red and Black smoke vinyl. Included is a free CD and download of the whole album.

Main CD package is a 4 panel digipack.

London rockers, Cold In Berlin return with their new album 'Rituals Of Surrender'. Nine slabs of fuzz laden, goth infused doom crossed with post punk attitude and vibe.

Over nine songs you are submerged into the dense, heavy sounds of their fourth album: A witch crawls from the ocean as the world is born looking for a new life, a woman recalls the painful love she needed to feel alive, a man cracks wide open looking for secrets, and love burns two desperate lovers - the songs are filled with heroic and overwhelming loss wrapped in the hope of what comes next.

Produced with gritty clarity and volume by Wayne Adams (Green Lung - Woodland Rites) Rituals of Surrender opens with the grinding, hypnotic pulse of The Power and the apocalyptic rise of Dark Days, the record twists and turns as guitars crash, tempos warp and vocalist Maya stalks your thoughts with her mesmeric vocals. The rituals continue to build through Avalanche and Monsters, an edgy industrial throb and a sweeping prayer. Side A closes with Frantic a frenetic shard of fractured shellac.

When the cut-and-thrust dies down, the album reveals the band at their most fragile. The haunting schadenfreude of Your Body//My Church is a beautiful, desperate love song nestled between the ceremonial Temples and the stoner trip of Shadowman. The album-closer Sacred Ground soars from a place of Lovecraftian foreboding towards an explosion of cinematic-doom.

Their grandest and most poignant piece to date.

First pressing is a double vinyl in a gatefold sleeve with 2 colour variants.

Variant 1 in Green/Blue marbled vinyl.

Variant 2 in Amber and red disc vinyl.

Each variant includes is a free download of the entire album.

Main CD package is a 4 panel digipack with booklet.

Titled Yn Ol I Annwn', Welsh for Return To The Underworld', it is the third part of the trilogy of albums that began with Noeth Ac Anoeth'in 2015 and 2017's Y Proffwyd Dwyll'.

The final phase of the band's first intergalactic voyage if you will.

The eight songs that comprise thes album, sees the band delve deeper into their collective influences, embracing full on space rock, atmospheric film soundtracks, melancholic acoustic interludes, psychedelia, cosmic moogs and percussion, moments of introspection and light - ¦ and of course, large helpings of doom. The fat riffs, big hooks and endless space grooves are all present and correct.

And once again Jessica Ball's voice glides over it all, both sweet and melancholy, yet this time more assured. A myriad of stacked harmonies and layered vocals weave in and out of the tracks, adding an other-worldly'melodicism to the songs.

In fact the album as a whole, is very much a sonic journey into some cosmos on the edge of forever. Just turn off the lights, turn up the volume and be transported to dance at the end of time.

The band's music has developed and been honed over the previous two records, but there is no doubt that they have distilled the essence of MWWB into this one. Previous comparisons to WindhandYobSleep. or whatever, are rendered completely redundant with Yn Ol I Annwn'.

No one else is pushing the boundaries of heavy like MWWB.

Mammoth Weed Wizard Bastard sound like Mammoth Weed Wizard Bastard, full stop.

MWWB are: Paul Michael Davies, Jessica Ball, Wes Leon, James Carrington, Stuart Sinclair.

Transmaniacon feat Lydia Lunch and Maya Berlin 'The Strange World Of Suzie Pellet'

    £8.99

Limited to 300 copies. In 2 colour Transparent Green/Mustard half and half vinyl. Included is a free CD of the album and free download.

Main CD package is a 4 panel digipack with booklet.

A heavy rock concept album featuring the dark tale of future street dweller Suzie Pellet. A feisty survivor in a ruined world.

Suzie is the brainchild of Ian Miller, fantasy/horror artist and novelist.
Not unlike Michael Moorcock guiding Hawkwind, Transmaniacon bring Miller's vision to sonic life, alongside the outstanding vocal deliveries of punk poetess and avant rocker Lydia Lunch (a hind-sighted Suzie) and Maya Berlin (a future 'present-day' Suzie).

Sci-fi and space rock, hard and heavy riffing guitars, overdriven Hammond Organ and synth are all in there. The twin heavyweights of Blue Oyster Cult and Mountain loom large, but this time with the added groove of an an organ-driven Frumpy or Black Mountain.

Transmaniacon have taken and expanded Miller's vision into a story in which Pellet herself, describes the dark, underworld, its characters and situations, friends and foes, all in grisly-spoken and sung diary-like, excerpts.

Lydia Lunch's world weary rasping syllables bring a frightening authenticity and drama to the older Suzie's memories and give an almost cinematic intensity to the imagery.

The young Suzie is sung by Maya Berlin, vocalist with Cold in Berlin. Delivering equal parts Punk, Doom and Goth, Suzie gives her the opportunity to expand her vocal (and theatrical) talents in Grace Slick or Julie Driscoll or even Chelsea Wolfe directions.

Ian Miller has once again provided his macabre vision for the sleeve art. But here his style has mutated into a vivid and creepy marriage of photo montage and the inky etched characters for for which he is known.

A new vision of Suzie, perhaps a Hogarth or Durer painting for the 21st century.
Step into the nightmare world of Suzie Pellet.

Fuzz, fuzz, fuzz, doom, stoner, more fuzz.

Welcome to the world of Blacklab.

Blacklab describe themselves as the Dark Witch Doom Duo from Osaka Japan'.

However, when it comes to witches, they are more the spectral Sadako from The Ring'than campy Countess Dracula'. Chilling cool with built in overdrive.

A full frontal assault of distorted riffs, howls and ghostly vocals, as well as bags of riot girrl attitude and lo-fi bravado.

Being nominally a Doom'band, expect a bucket load of Sabbath worship for sure, but Blacklab have a vibe and experimental undertow akin more to their countrymen Boris'and the souped up lo-fi fuzz of Ty Segall or Comets On Fire.

Tracks like Black Moon'Hidden Garden'Spoon'Symptom Of The Blacklab'(which starts like Sabbath - ¦ then thrashes somewhere else), twist, burn and boil into the red. His Name Is - ¦'is a churning chunky throb. Spoon'and Warm Death'offer moments of relief and crushing noise.

Take a look outside your window. We're living through a particularly bleak paradigm, with ominous political shifts occurring around the globe. It's time for a rallying war-cry, to tap into the power of our ancestors, to learn the wisdoms taught by history and its recurring patterns. It's time to acknowledge the power of women, to burn with the fire of a banshee wail, to taste the energy of revolution and feel the inspiration of generations of resistance.

And that's where ASCEND, the second album by insurrectionary heavy rock trio Vodun, comes in.

Ten slabs of ground-flattening, groove-inflected rock power, driven by the afro-inspired dervish drums of Zel Kaute (interpreting the spirits of Ogoun), the roaring, fierce chromium guitars of Linz Hamilton (The Marassa), and fronted by the fire-breathing howl of frontwoman Chantal Brown (Oya), delivering you the truth of generations with a drive and focus that can't be matched.

The music of ASCEND is more sophisticated than on Possession, the band's 2016 debut. The canvas is broader, the details more vivid and varied. Their palette now embraces a healthy dose of extra percussion, saxophone, and vocal arrangements that pair Chantal's behemoth holler with harmonies, chants and howls, a full-spectrum of sound that suits their polymorphous attack.

Ascend is, unabashedly, revolution music, its ten tracks a hurricane of mystic heaviness, spiritual soul and furious positivity, its colossal riffage & rhythms allied to inspirational lyrics and powerful melodies to deliver food for the soul and fire to inflame uprisings. At heart, it's an album of musical celebration, and heavy playfulness - lyrically of resistance, and of solidarity. 'We can rise above this,' nods Chantal, referencing the dire state of 2018.

    Limb 'Saboteurs Of The Sun'

Their third album, Saboteurs of the Sun sees Limb hurl themselves skyward to discover new worlds within the riff - time continuum.

Building on their previous two records, which positioned Limb in the thick of the UK heavy fuzz scene, the band now move beyond their sludge - doom origins to explore a cosmos of bubbling synthesizers, screaming organs, ecstatic choirs and galaxies of wild unidentified sounds alongside the heavy riffs.

Vocalist Rob Hoey says, 'We're not a band that wants to get complacent. For our third record, with the wider world around continuing to fall apart, we wanted to address big, grand themes. And to do that, we had to broaden our sonic palette.'

That's not to say that Saboteurs of the Sun jettisons any of the stomp and swagger that Limb have made their own. The grooves, the power and the chops are all there in spades - helped by a masterful production from Russ Russell (Napalm Death, At the Gates, etc.).

Each of the 10 songs that make up this record is a sonic vignette, telling a story that could have sprung from the mind of sci-fi visionary Philip K Dick - tales of reckoning with a world that is incomprehensible.

Saboteurs of the Sun is heavy - ¦ of course. But it is also ambitious and thoughtful, boldly bucking the system and revealing something new with every play. But most of all, it is the sound of a band bursting free from the world that made it, unapologetic and unafraid of what it might find.

The second album by London/Brighton heavy contingent GRAVE LINES follows on from their 2016  debut 'Welcome To Nothing' and sees the band expand their sound across nine weighty, yet darkly melodic tracks.

Coming in at just shy of an hour. FED INTO THE NIHILIST ENGINE is a must listen for fans of all things heavy, however anybody seeking music that delves into the darker and more introspective aspects of the human condition will find much to love within its expansive tracks.

At times quiet and melancholy, at times an oppressive and miserable onslaught of crushing riffs and filth-laden grooves.

Fans of Yob to Neurosis, even Bauhaus or Dead Can Dance, take heed, FITNE reaches out to encompass elements of them all.

Lyrically introspective, dark and challenging, vocalist Jake Harding states - ¦
'The album is an exploration into our relationship with negativity. The Nihilist Engine is symbolic of our greatest flaw and the self-defeating nature of our species. This machine represents both the inner turmoil of the human spirit and our struggle to understand the darkness spreading from external forces. Self-perpetuating and infectious, these feelings contaminate and spread. A relentless machine drawing us in and chewing up our poisoned remains.'

Grave Lines are back with a record which promises to take you on an exploratory journey deep within the inner realms of your own psyche.

" - ¦a fine introduction to a band who will undoubtedly soon be one of the brightest stars in the London underground." Noisey

Exclusive 2 colour, T Shirt option only by mail order or as a bundle.
T Shirt designed by Unexpected Specter (@unexpectedspecter on instagram)

Ex People are Laura Kirsop: Vocals, Calum Gunn: Guitar, Edward White: Bass and Vicki Dawson: Drums.

Emerging from the London DIY scene in 2015 are stoner sludge four-piece Ex People, the latest in a line of bands seeking to push the heavy template yet further.

'Bird' was recorded with Wayne Adams (Vodun, USA Nails, Death Pedals, Casual Nun) at Bear Bites Horse Studios, and he's managed to perfectly capture the visceral weight of their sound, a startling amalgam of super filthy fuzz thick riffs, grunge, noise rock and stoner, combined with a punk attitude.

Taking their cue from bands as diverse as Electric Wizard, Bardo Pond, Harvey Milk and Kylesa, along with 90s sludge such as the Melvins (yet still managing to sound cohesive) the ten tracks that make up 'Bird', combine stoner hooks and soaring vocals with a crushing heaviness.

Add to that some thumping motorik beats (almost like a heavy 'Neu' at times), shot through with an ever-present melodic sensibility, and you have a band that once again shows that when it comes to heavy music, all gates are open.

Drawing on apocalyptic and dystopian themes, 'Over' tells the story of a planet colliding with the earth, over a driving, crunching circular riff.

Other tracks tackle real-world horror, with 'The Host' about a woman and child escaping domestic violence, and opening track 'Not a Drill' calling for resistance against oppressive regimes.

And album closer 'Crested' is as dark as it gets, 8 minutes of full on doom meets discord, combining the atmospherics of Windhand with the slowed down hardcore of My War-era Black Flag

'Bird' is gloriously heavy, fuzzed up yet melodic, at times bleak and thrilling as it is infectious.

It's a bold statement of intent, and we are stoked to add Ex People to the NHS roster.

Y Proffwyd Dwyll is once again produced by Chris (Conan) Fielding, and is without doubt a whopping great slab of heaviness. But that’s not all.

Those who’ve investigated beyond the name, have already discovered that both the band and their music are deadly serious, and though MWWB may share sonic alliances with likes of Conan, Windhand and Yob, the many who tuned into their impessive debut have discovered that MWWB don’t stick to the usual tropes, and are a unique proposition, with a sound all their own.

Down-tuned to ‘Z,’ the guitar tone is tar thick and the riffs massive and full of hooks ... of course.
But with the soaring, angelic, multi textured vocals of Jessica Ball, MWWB have added an extra dimension to what’s considered doom. Not your normal melodramatic dark chanteuse here pilgrims, more like MWWB’s secret weapon, a vein of crystal in the rock.

In fact it’s a combination which sounds at times startling and often beautiful. Like if Liz Fraser had fronted Kyuss or Sleep ... though that’s too simplistic a comparison.

There’s nothing approaching the 30 minute epic of their debut’s ‘Nachthexen’ (though these six tracks all clock in around the eight or nine minute mark) but the arrangements are tighter and the vocal elements are considerably upped. Add to that a smattering of cello, some swirling moog wig outs, and you have a record that also invokes Hawkwind’s cosmic synthscapes, as well as a nod to the John Carpenter soundtracks that the band love.

The album title is old North Welsh loosely translated as ‘False Prophet’ and the concept of worship is the narrative thread that binds the record. And indeed the album conjures moments of ethereal beauty, the smell of the earth, the scent of the forest or far off land, the cosmic dreams of some wandering shaman perhaps.

But rest assured, MWWB haven't gone all whimsical on us, this album is one heavy beast, and it rocks like the proverbial bastard.

Mammoth Weed Wizard Bastard are: Paul Michael Davies, synth and guitar. Jessica Ball, bass, vocals, synth. Wez Leon, synth and guitar. James ‘Carrat’ Carrington, synth and drums.

The first vinyl and cd offering by Welsh doom outfit Mammoth Weed Wizard Bastard, or MWWB if you will, is a beast indeed.

Noeth Ac Anoeth'is an old Welsh phrase which the band tells us is a druidic concept, meaning an abode of existence, or Hades crossed with nothingness, it captures the mood perfectly - mysterious, dark and spacious.

Though this 3 tracker could possibly be called a mini album, rest assured, at over 50 minutes of music you will feel at turns, high, low, pummelled, seduced and sated.

MWWB's sound has all the crushing weight and expanse of Ufommamut, Windhand or Yob, combined with a love of the hypnotic grooves of Amon Duul II, the cosmic soundscapes of Hawkwind and Cult of Luna at their most cosmic, and a dose of dark psychedelia.

In fact, this Wrexham quartet has created a sound wrought from the very forge of Vulcan itself.
Here you have the first vinyl outing of Nachthexen'a 30 minute plus doom rock space opus. A shifting, progressive epic of plutonium weight, the ideal soundtrack to your next intergalactic voyage or black hole exploration. Crammed with a dark medley of riffs and textures, and topped off by MWWB's secret weapon, the angelic siren song of vocalist Jessica Ball.

Les Paradis Artificiels'is another downtuned epic, the mammoth riffs and shifts are still there, but on this the vocals are more present, mesmerizing and fully integrated. It's like The Cocteau Twins or My Bloody Valentine landed in a doom band and said hell yeah, this works'.

Slave Moon'is experimental, progressive even. 10 minutes plus of thumping atmospherics and ascending guitar layers, and some pretty filthy, yet catchy riffing.

Ladies and Gentlemen, please put on your cans, light up a big one and step into outer space.
Produced to weighty perfection by Chris (Conan) Fielding, MWWB are proving that doom metal is alive and well, and still capable of evolving beyond the wall of Sleep.

Mammoth Weed Wizard Bastard are: Paul Michael Davies, Guitar and Synth. Jessica Ball, Bass and Vocals. Wez Leon, Guitar and James Carrington, Drums.

    Limb 'Terminal'

    £8.99

Deluxe LP package. 180g transparent white and cosmic purple haze vinyl, gatefold sleeve, printed lyric inner and free download. Strictly limited to 500 copies.

Terminal'follows hot on the heels of Limb's self-titled debut of 2014, but takes an enormous leap forward. Perhaps it's the result of playing across the UK on tour with labelmates Black Moth, and the introduction of new drummer Tom Mowforth (ex Uncle Acid) but Limb are now more explosive than ever before. Where the debut showcased their thick, loping, and stripped-down sound, 'Terminal' cranks up the sonics, mashes the grooves, and ups the filth quotient to truly corrosive levels.

In their quest to take things to the next planet, Limb hooked up with legendary extreme metal producer Russ Russell (Napalm Death, Dimmu Borgir, Evile, etc.). A bold move, but together they've created a monolithic statement of intent. 'Terminal' is a down-tuned and dirty barrage of monumental riffs, in fact it sounds like worlds exploding.

Keeping all the mammoth groove that is Limb's trademark, Terminal'ups the tempos and infuses it all with a thick, stoner vibe.

The guitars are all roiling fuzz. The bass is low, warm and weighty. The drums pound, and vocalist Rob Hoey's roar resounds through it all, guttural but articulate. This album is guaranteed to blow your ears, speakers, and minds.

Recognising Limb's love of both stoner dirge and glam stomp, Russ Russell has described the band's sound as GoatSlade', and we can see why. Buried in the dirt is a cosmic boogie, which pays more than a nod to the decade of stacked platform boots without ever feeling retro.

Right from the opening double whammy of 'Three Snake Leaves' and 'Ghost Dance', you're propelled into a maelstrom that never lets up. The riffs come layered, thick, and fast, from the fuzzy throb of Dawn Raiders'to the off-kilter groove of Spoils of a Portrait King', marking the halfway point with its monstrous, doomy outro. The second half of the album contains Limb's take on a traditional murder ballad, Down by the Banks', as well as the chaotic hardcore of Mortuary Teeth'. The whole thing ends with Cocytus', the soundtrack to a voyage across the eponymous river of dead souls that encircles Hell, complete with a hypnotic riff ending.

It's an album which can easily hold it's own against Yob's, Conan's The Swords'  of this world at the same time as ploughing its own singular furrow.

Thematically the album addresses the prospect of absolute destruction and the possibility of life thereafter, which is echoed in the album's artwork, a startling retro-futuristic collage by Cur3es (responsible for the art of FuManchu's Gigantoid'). It conveys the album's mood perfectly: the familiar juxtaposed with the unknown, a world where nothing is quite as it should be.

Watch the skies. Terminal is set to land on September 11th.

    ?

New Heavy Sounds is super stoked to bring you the full on, take no prisoners, hard rock sci-fi concept album by Transmaniacon. 'The Darkening Plain'

'Transmaniacon MC' is a track by the Blue Oyster Cult.

'Transmaniacon' is a science fiction novel by John Shirley.

These two pieces of art were to be fused together as project for a film of the novel. Some preliminary work was done, like minded musicians were gathered and some hard and heavy music, was created for the film's soundtrack. Sadly that concept lies stillborn.

However projects breed concepts, and a band was born to re-imagine, remould and reanimate the idea. A band fuelled by a burning love of 70's hard rock and proto metal, science fiction and excursions into the dark side.

Transmaniacon take the blueprint and soundworld laid down by Bloodrock, Mountain, Steppenwolf, Blue Oyster Cult and Alice Cooper, and add a hefty slab of dark doom, hard riffs, punk attitude and stoner metal to ramp it up for the 21st century.

The vibe is steeped in 70's rock, but the sound is definitely 'NOW'. From the Sabbathian sludge of 'City Of Chaos' to the Dead Kennedy-esque 'An Eye For An Eye' and the stoner moves of 'Chasing The Insane' the album is shot through with twists and chock full of riffs.

This is hard rock at its hardest and heaviest set against an expansive post apocalyptic backdrop. Nothing encapsulates the cinematic darkness more than the album opener, which grafts a progressive approach to hard rock and doom.

'Quintessence of Dust' is a 24 minute monolithic mindfuck of epic proportions, the now completed score to the stillborn science fiction horror story possibly.

An intense listen that features the spoken word talents of punk poet Lydia Lunch, and as the album's opener; it's also a pretty bold statement of intent.

'Quintessence Of Dust' is a grim eco warning, a tale of alien invasion and payback time for a future Earth's corpulent consumerism, rampant waste and self centred greed. A hideous flesh and metal robot army, hybrid humans inadvertently created by man himself, invade, take over and consume the Earth.

Even in the most gruesome horror and far beyond the setting sun. Everything dies, dust to dust says Lydia Lunch.

And she's right. It's sonic Armageddon, a six movement riff-fest that musically shifts through doom, organ fuelled groove outs, psychedelic electronica, hard rock and metal, to an exhilarating 'Boston meets The Who' style power chord ending. It's a progressive wall of rock that batters, yet sucks you into the bleak story concept.

As with all NHS releases we have another very special LP package. To visualise this apocalyptic tale for the sleeve, we have enlisted the Truly awesome talents of one of the real legends of horror, sci-fi and fantasy illustration, Ian Miller. From the 70's to the present day, his beautiful, intricate yet dark and unsettling style has realised in pen and ink, the horrific creations of H.P. Lovecraft's warped imagination, as well as a whole host of demons and nightmares that have graced (if that's the word) myriad book covers, comics, films and games. Who better to animate the true terror of Earth's robot conquerors. Believe us when we say that the artwork is truly amazing.

    1. Quintessence of Dust
    2. City Of Chaos
    3. Eye for An Eye

Black Moth rose from the Leeds underground scene at the end of the last decade, indulging their love for both Sabbath sulphur and Stooges squalor.

Their debut 'The Killing Jar', which was released in 2012, was hailed by many as 'one of the best debut album's you'll hear all year' - it even made it onto Kerrang's top 50 albums of the year. Now with an expanded (guitar) lineup to expand the riffage comes the follow up, 'Condemned To Hope.'

Their long awaited second album, produced like their first by Jim Sclavunos (Grinderman, Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds, The Cramps) takes their kaleidoscopic heaviosity and sepulchral style to a whole new plateau of riff-driven dementia. A turbulent brew with just as much 60s garage rock bite, head-spinning psychedelia and '1991-The-Year-That-Punk-Broke' grit to offer as Vinum Sabbathi riffage. 'Condemned To Hope' is where Black Moth truly render themselves a glimmering presence in the firmament of 21st century rock. A band just as comfortable sharing the Temples festival bill with the likes of Electric Wizard and Neurosis as they are alongside Nick Cave, Iggy Pop and Deborah Harry on the forthcoming Jeffrey Lee Pierce Sessions album 'Axels And Sockets'.

As with all NHS releases the album package will be something very special, with some very special cover art.
The one and only Roger Dean has created a brand new painting to adorn the cover of the album. Designer, architect and artist, his iconic work for Yes, Uriah Heep, Budgie, countless Vertigo sleeves and much more, has almost come to define 70's sleeve art. It's the Roger Dean you know and love, yet as you've never seen him before.
