The next 12" in Dark Entries Editions is a hard to find Italo Disco club hit. Big Ben Tribe are a trio formed in Trieste, Italy in 1983. The line-up is: Ricky Persi (bass), Stefano Previsti (computers and drum machine), Renato Posani (guitar & D.J).Their name is taken from the Disco Club 'Big Ben' in Trieste, the place where Renato Posani worked every night.

Tarzan Loves The Summer Nights was recorded in Milan in the Spring of 1983 and released on Gong Records in 1984. The band created their signature sound using a Mini Moog, Prophet 5, Korg Synthesizer, LinnDrum, Alembic Bass and Fender Stratocaster. Guest vocalist Clara Moroni softly sings about a romantic jungle dream adventure where she is living with the handsome and brave Tarzan. Strong LinnDrum percussion serves as a counterpoint to the infectious vocal melody and catchy synth hooks. The B-side features an instrumental version with extended breaks and dubbed out bass lines.

Both songs are remastered for vinyl by George Horn at Fantasy Studios in Berkeley. The vinyl comes housed in a glossy jacket with original artwork of a female model lying on the floor grabbing the leg of a mannequin. Each copy includes an insert with lyrics, photos and liner notes by Ricky Persi. Tarzan Loves The Summer Nights will transport you to a fantasy world full where you can find your own muscle man to love.

    Borghesia
is an electronic music group from Ljubljana, Slovenia, created in 1982 by Aldo Ivancic and Dario Seraval who were members of the alternative theater troupe FV-112/15. Along with Laibach, Borghesia is the most successful band from the territory of former Yugoslavia who launched the activist movement and managed to turn sexual freedom into an important political issue by creating the New Slovenian Art scene.

After two cassette-only releases the band recorded their debut vinyl LP Ljubav Je Hladnija Od Smrti ('Love Is Colder Than Death') during the winter of 1983-84. The band was eager to use early sampling techniques to construct tracks from cut up radio noises and movie dialogue. They developed their own brand of EBM (Electronic Body Music) that combined symphonic synthesizers (Korg PolySix), funky basslines, military drum beats (Roland TR-808) and harsh, crisp sequenced rhythms that repeat in trance-like loops (Roland TB-303). All songs from Ljubav Je Hladnija Od Smrti are sung/recited in Croatian and use the imagery of the prohibited, tabooed and repressed. Equal parts Chris & Cosey, Cabaret Voltaire, Art of Noise and Rainer Werner Fassbinder.

All tracks have been remastered by George Horn at Fantasy Studio in Berkeley.

Pressed on blood red vinyl, each disc is manufactured with its own unique pattern: no two discs are identical. Each LP is housed in an exact replica of the original large 6-panel fold out poster with lyrics and photos.

Each album includes two post cards with never before seen photos of Philippe with lyrics and liner notes by the band. Prepare to indulge your lustiest hedonistic fetishes.

Die Form is a French post-industrial and electronic band formed in 1977. The name 'Die Form' means '(the) form/shape' in German, like the Bauhaus diary and is a play on the English homonym 'deformed' and on the French homonym 'difforme' (deformed). Die Form is the primary project of electronic musician and multimedia artist Philippe Fichot.

He began by recording a number of experimental cassette releases in the late 1970s and formed the Bain Total label to release these early cassettes and various side projects including Krylon Hertz, Mental Code, Camera Obscura, Eva-Johanna Reichstag, Hurt and Fine Automatic.  In 1982 Die Form released their debut vinyl album, 'Die Puppe' in a limited edition of 1,000 copies. These are the first esoteric electronic experiments, often improvised, from what would become the sound of the project.

Underlying themes of eroticism, death and other 'taboo' subjects are apparent in both the music and the album artwork, which Philippe also produces. The album was recorded with entirely analog equipment (Roland MC4 Micro-Composer, TR-808 Rhythm Composer, ARP 2600, Kawai 60F, Revox B77). Songs range from hypnotic, minimalistic proto-IDM to  pure, daring experimental sound manipulation. Unable to fit into any genre, 'Die Puppe' is in a class of music all its own.

All songs have been remastered from the original master tapes for vinyl by George Horn at Fantasy Studios in Berkeley.

Executive Slacks was spawned in Philadelphia by three restless art students ' Matt Marello, John Young and Albert Ganss in the early 1980s. Starting out with performance art in subways, they soon took their angst-ridden act to galleries and night clubs. They recorded four songs in the fall of 1982 that became their self-titled EP released by local independent label Red Records in 1983.

On their debut EP Matt Marello roars and churns out white-hot shards of guitar while John Young's short-circuited noise machines and Albert Ganss's industrial metal drums create dramatic body rhythms. The Slacks drew their influences from contemporaries like Cabaret Voltaire and Tuxedomoon, as well as Disco and Dadaism.

The tracks were created with the use of heavily modified synthesizers and noisemakers, industrial steel drums, metal rods and plates. Dripping in nihilism, the song's lyrics tackle the existential dread of the late 20th century. Executive Slacks' unique brew of primitive electronics, harsh guitars and aggressive vocals inspired many bands like Ministry, Front 242 and Skinny Puppy.

All songs are remastered for vinyl by George Horn at Fantasy Studios in Berkeley.

Housed in the original jacket featuring a painting by Albert Ganss.

Each copy includes an 8-page booklet on industrial gray and blood red paper with lyrics, photos and press clippings from the band's archives.

Informatics were a post-punk electronic band from Melbourne, Australia formed in 1981. Michael Trudgeon, Valek Sadovchikoff, Steve Adam and Ramesh Ayyar met in the experimental sound studio while attending the same art school.

Philip McKellar later joined the band in 1983. Between 1981 and 1985, Informatics recorded numerous tracks, mainly in a garage, using a four-track tape machine and any electronic gear they could get their hands on.

The band held a fascination for contemporary visual art and moving images and videos would accompany their live performances. The production elements in the videos reflected Informatics'philosophy on sound composition: the footage was entirely pirated from television ads, manipulated and then collaged to create new narratives that reinforced the music.

Informatics came to work together through a shared fascination in electronic music and the capabilities of analogue synthesizers. In early performances, long before the advent of samplers, the Informatics used a collection of synthesizers and other analogue and hand built equipment. These were patched together to create a unique battery of sounds. Between January and November 1981 Informatics recorded their debut 4 song 'Dezinformatzia' EP but it was not released until 1983 .

The track 'Proximity Switch', later renamed 'Accidents in Paradise' became popular in parts of Europe and was re-released in 1985. Informatics early songs have a brittle, cold, disconnected feel made by a Roland SH-101, Korg MS-20 and a lot of processed guitar. The later songs utilize newer technology and ambient, synthesized melodies closer to their country mates Severed Heads. True synthpunk pioneers a world away from their contemporaries in America.

Informatics are currently staging live performances in Melbourne, Australia to new audiences. They use the analogue instruments that originally created their unique sound, but now augment this with the incorporation of new and emerging technology.

Dark Entries Editions is honored to celebrate the 30th anniversary 'Dancing Therapy' by International Music System, often abbreviated as I.M.S. In 1983 Maurizio Cavalieri and Giorgio Stefani, the same musicians who brought you 'Spacer Woman' by Charlie, created International Music System in Vicenza, Italy.

Under this moniker, the two would release a pair of albums of stylized and syncopated electronic dance songs showcasing the still-evolving advancement of computer and keyboard-generated music.

'Dancing Therapy' was released as a 12' single in 1984 on the Cavalieri's own Mr Disc Records.  It utilized the Roland TR-808, Yamaha DX7 and Linn Drum as the main percussion. Giorgio would hit the two sides of a metal triangle with a drum stick, creating the high pitched tone break throughout the song.

Guest vocalist Rebecca McLain, an American ballet dancer, sings about getting lost in music as a means to escape from your troubles. The single anticipated the beats and sounds of Freestyle music as well as influencing the early House scene due to radio airplay on Chicago's WBMX.

On the B-side is 'Love Games', an electro dance song with breakbeats in the vein of Afrika Bambaataa that features Giorgio on vocals. Both songs are remastered for vinyl by George Horn at Fantasy Studios in Berkeley.

Dark Entries is proud to release Uno, a collection of early recordings from seminal Italian electronic act Kirlian Camera.

Keyboardist / vocalist Angelo Bergamini founded the project in Parma in 1979, initially naming it Suicide Commando, before discovering another project using the same name. By 1980, Bergamini had recruited singer Simona Buja, keyboardist Fabrizio Chiari and bassist Mauro Montacchini.

Their demo cassette Dawn attracted the attention of Italian Records, a popular independent label. The following year, Montacchini left the band and was replaced by Giorgio Vecchi, and Kirlian Camera recorded their self-titled debut mini-LP.

Uno compiles the four songs from Kirlian Camera on Side A and the six songs from the demo cassette on Side B. Also included is the bonus track 'Minitech,' originally released in 1981 on flexi-disc. Kirlian Camera's clean, minimalist new wave is marked by strong haunting melodies, slow-moving synth washes and stark, dramatic vocals.

All songs are remastered for vinyl by George Horn at Fantasy Studios in Berkeley. The artwork replicates the original 12' featuring a painting of a royal Italian noble on the front and black and white photos of the band on the back.

Each copy includes a two-sided postcard with a never-before-seen photo of Bergamini and Buja taken from an early concert.

Lassigue Bendthaus is the electro-industrial project of Uwe Schmidt aka Señor Coconut from Germany. Uwe Schmidt began making music in the early 1980s, first playing drums, then switching to programming a drum computer after he had heard a Linn Drum on the radio. In 1986 he co-founded the cassette label N.G. Medien, on which his first musical work under the name Lassigue Bendthaus, The Engineer's Love, was released. Soon after, he started to work on what would become his first official record release, the album Matter. The recordings and production began in 1986 and took almost 4 years, until the album finally came out in 1991 on the German Parade Amoureuse label.

Musically somewhere between late Industrial and Electronic Body Music, yet already anticipating Acid and Techno, this production managed to cause quite a stir, due to its advanced production techniques. Songs pay strong homage to Kraftwerk, approaching the early industrial dance scene with a softer sequential approach than most of his contemporaries. Matter is a hermetic reflection about the relationship between perception, nature, science, technology and labor. This reissue comprises the entire 1991 Matter LP, as well a bonus 7" record containing 2 tracks never before released on vinyl. All songs on Matter were recorded and mixed by Tobias Freund (Pink Elln).

All songs have been remastered for vinyl by George Horn at Fantasy Studios in Berkeley. The vinyl is housed in a jacket featuring the photographic traces of a high-energy photon hitting a proton. Dark Entries is excited to introduce the debut album Less Ness from contemporary Bay Area duo, Max and Mara. Their collaboration began in 2012. Max is based in Oakland and has been a part of various projects most notably Brotman and Short and his current solo work as Business Etiquette. Mara is based in San Francisco and is known for her solo work as Group Rhoda.

On Less Ness they worked with a hardware set up: 808 and Elektron drum machine, Moog, MAM, and Sequential Circuits synth with splashes of Mono/Poly and collage elements, vocoder lines and dubbed out vocals. They step away from the the computer as much as possible and prefer that their ideas can be traced back to the tools so that a sense of physicality remains. They find inspiration from all kinds of far out sounds, most notably dub, industrial, and various drug culture tangents. Lyrically the songs revolve around topics such as escapism, looking though cultural windows, and character role development. Some songs are a bit more surrealist in content with elements of hard realism and critical commentary.

All songs have been mastered for vinyl by George Horn at Fantasy Studios in Berkeley. Each LP is housed in a jacket featuring a painting by Shana Why. Prepare to turn your gaze to the things in front of you and away from screen generated culture and its mimicry of social participation.

Moral was the trio of Marco Andreis (Guitars, Bass), Hanne Winterberg (Vocals) and Ingolf Brown (Synthesizers, Rhythm Box, Sequencer) from Aarhus, Denmark. They released their debut mini-album 'Dance of the Dolls' on cassette shortly after forming in 1981. 'Whispering Sons' followed on cassette in 1982. The group played very few concerts, but they did support both Monochrome Set and Nico. In May 1983, they contributed three songs to the Irmgardz Records sampler 'Somewhere Outside', a compilation featuring groups from outside of Copenhagen.

During the summer of 1983, Moral recorded and produced their debut LP, 'And Life Is - ¦', at Ingolf Brown's home studio. It was the first release on Ingolf's label ARP Gramophone in August 1984. Influenced by early 4AD Records, Joy Division, Brian Eno and Wire, the band crafted their own brand of Nordic melancholic post-punk. The album develops the band's signature sound of glacial synthesizers with crepuscular guitar and serpentine melodies.

The main synthesizers used are the primitive Roland TR-606 Drumatix (the percussion side-kick to the TB-303), plus the BOSS DR-55 Dr. Rhythm drum machine. Hanne's hauntingly beautiful vocals evoke the gentle feather-light voice of Alison Statton from Young Marble Giants as well as the Teutonic chill of Nico. Lyrics about cold nights and blossoming relationships paint a detailed picture of youthful life in Scandinavia. Also included are three bonus tracks that originally appeared on the 'Somewhere Outside' compilation.

All songs have been remastered for vinyl by George Horn at Fantasy Studios in Berkeley. The jacket is an exact replica of the original 1984 edition, featuring a photo by Per Wiklund of a wave crashing into the sea. Each copy includes a double sided 11'x11' insert containing lyrics for each song and photos of the band. This reissue is dedicated to Ingolf Brown who passed away in 2012.

Nu-Sound II Crew / Magnus II 'Split EP'

    £14.99

Each copy includes a post card with a photo of the Nu Sounds crew DJing in 1984.

Dark Entries is excited to reissue a split EP of rare and out of print Detroit Electro jams from Nu Sound II
Crew and Magnus II. Both were projects of mastermind Sam Anderson aka DJ Maestro. Growing up on the westside of Detroit, Maestro joined the Marine Corps in 1979 and was turned on to electronic music. One of his fellow Marines was a DJ from Brooklyn who schooled Maestro on how to mix records, blending dance songs seamlessly.

While stationed on base in California, he set up a DJ crew called Nu Sounds and perfected his technical skills. He returned to Detroit in 1984 and auditioned for the Electrifying Mojo on WJLB. It was there that he met the Godfather of Techno, Juan Atkins, who introduced him to emerging new sounds of dance & party music. Juan showed him how to make and record music using a Roland 808 and 909, Linn Drum and a Boss DR-55 drum machine. In 1986 Maestro created a new alias for himself, Nu Sound II Crew, by adding a roman numeral II to his former DJ crew name.

That year he self-released his first 12" single "The Speed Of Light" on Sound Wave Records. Only 500 copies were made and distributed by Juan Atkins' Metroplex Records. Influenced by Kraftwerk and Cybotron, Nu Sound II Crew created fresh, fast, dark electro beats with tough drum machines and lyrics about traveling through outer space. A second single was released that same year, "1001 Beats", a slower, deep and heavy vocoder track with guitar by Jerome Blackwell that riffs the Batman Theme during the break. By the late 1980s, Maestro was using different aliases such as Sam and Dave, Zetta, and Magnus II to make it look like a lot of artists were on his new label Steppin' Forward Records.

Magnus II was named after guitarist Jeff Magnus who plays on the sole 12" single from the project "Roctronic/Space Age" released in 1993. For this EP reissue, all 3 original mixes of "Space Age" are included: LP Version, Dub, and Remix. "Space Age" blends EBM rhythms with tough drum machine beats to create an electro hybrid somewhere between Belgium and Detroit.

All songs have been remastered for vinyl by George Horn at Fantasy Studios in Berkeley. The jacket is specially designed by Eloise Leigh and features original illustrations from 1988 by Kevin Mann of an Egyptian pharaoh "steppin' forward" and the Roman numeral II.

Packaged in a deluxe heavy-stock die-cut jacket with printed inner sleeve.

Opera Multi Steel was born during the winter of 1983 in Bourges, a city in the center of France. Originally a trio comprised of Franck Lopez (vocals, keyboards, guitars), his brother Patrick L. Robin (vocals, percussion) and Catherine M. Marie (keyboards, vocals), the band began to record demos utilizing an Elex keyboard, Casio VLTone, Roland TR-606 drum machine, guitars and pedals.

Layering organ-like keyboards over drum machine snares and a woodwind recorder, they created a unique style of Medieval or Baroque synth pop, and released their selftitled debut EP on their own label Orcadia Machina in 1984.

The four songs range from fast and bright new wave influenced by Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark's Electricity and slower, brooding dark wave ballads like Faith-era Cure that foreshadowed the classic French cold wave sounds of their debut album Cathedrale released the following year. All songs have been remastered for vinyl by George Horn at Fantasy Studios in Berkeley.

The jacket is a diecut replica of the original sleeve using master templates the band created in 1984 and offset printed on heavy French off-white card stock. Each copy includes an inner sleeve printed with lyrics and 17th century perspective line drawings by Jean Vredeman de Vries. Patrick Cowley & Jorge Socarras 'Catholic'

    £26.99

Cowley is known as one of the pioneers of disco in the 1970s, particularly the hi-NRG strain. The Catholic material was written and recorded with vocalist (and frequent collaborator) Jorge Socarras in San Francisco between 1975 and 1977, before the latter went to London and Cowley started a gig playing synthesizers for Sylvester.

The two artists reconvened in 1979 and re-recorded some of the material, eventually sending an album to Megatone Records who ultimately decided not to sign it. In 2007, the label gave San Francisco's Honey Soundsystem access to its archives, which led to Catholic getting its first-ever release via Macro on CD in 2009.

Now, following their Cowley retrospective School Daze and landing on the 32nd anniversary of his death, Dark Entries are issuing the record on vinyl for the first time, calling it a spiritual precursor to the punk-funk of bands like LCD Soundsystem and The Rapture.

It also comes with two extra tracks that weren't included on the CD version, along with an essay from Socarras.

    Patrick Cowley 'School Daze'

    £24.99

Dark Entries and Honey Soundsystem have teamed up to release the gay porn soundtrack work of San Francisco-based musician and producer, Patrick Cowley. Perhaps one of the most revolutionary and influential people in the cannon of disco music, Cowley created his own brand of Hi-NRG dance music coined The San Francisco Sound. Born in Buffalo, NY on October 19, 1950, Patrick moved to San Francisco at the age of 21. He studied at the City College of San Francisco where he founded the Electronic Music Lab. During this time Patrick would create radio jingles and electronic pieces using the school's equipment, first a Putney, then an E-MU System and finally a Serge synthesizer. He would make experimental instrumental songs by blending various types of music and adapting them to the synthesizer.

By the mid-70²s, Patrick's synthesizer skills landed him a job composing and producing songs for disco superstar Sylvester such as You Make Me Feel (Mighty Real), Dance Disco Heat and Stars. This helped Patrick obtain more work as a remixer and producer. Of particular note was his 18-minute long remix of Donna Summer's I Feel Love and production work with edgy New Wave band Indoor Life. By 1981 Patrick released a string of dance 12" singles, like Menergy and Megatron Man, creating the soundtrack for a generation. Also that year, he founded Megatone Records and released his debut album. Around this time Patrick was hospitalized and diagnosed with a then-unknown illness: that would later be called AIDS. Prior to his passing on November 12, 1982, he recorded two more Hi-NRG hits, Do You Wanna Funk for Sylvester and Right On Target for Paul Parker.

In 1981 Patrick was contacted by John Coletti, owner of famed gay porn company Fox Studio in Los Angeles. John had heard about Patrick's music from the legendary Sylvester and proposed he write music for his films. Patrick jumped on this offer and sent reels of his college compositions from the 70s to John in LA. Coletti then used a variable speed oscillator to adjust the pitch and speed of Patrick's songs in-sync with the film scene. School Daze is a collection of Cowley's instrumental songs recorded between 1973 and 1981 found in the Fox Studio vaults.

Influenced by Tomita, Wendy Carlos and Giorgio Moroder, Patrick forged an electronic sound from his collection of synthesizers, modified guitars and self-constructed equipment. The listener enters a world of dark forbidden vices, introspective and reflective of Patrick's time spent in the bathhouses of San Francisco. The songs on School Daze range from sparse proto-techno to high octane funk to somber post-punk to musique concrete, revealing the depth of Cowley's unique talent.

Featuring over 80 minutes of music, this compilation contains soundtrack music from two Fox Studio films, Muscle Up and School Daze, never before released on vinyl. The tapes were restored and transferred using the same speed and pitch settings, then remastered for vinyl by George Horn at Fantasy Studios in Berkeley, CA. The vinyl comes housed in a glossy dual pocket gatefold featuring classic gay porn imagery from the Fox Studio vaults plus an essay from Indoor Life vocalist, Jorge Soccarras. For Patrick's 63rd birthday, Dark Entries and Honey Soundsystem present a glimpse into the instrumental world of a young genius. These recordings shine a new light on the experimental side of a disco legend who was taken too soon. All proceeds from School Daze will be donated to Project Open Hand and the AIDS Housing Alliance.

Dark Entries Editions is excited to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Italo Disco club hit Walking In The Neon. Peter Richard was the alias first adopted in 1979 by producer and vocalist Walter Beinat. His best known song was Walking In The Neon, released as a maxi-single on Italian label Good Vibes in 1985. For this single Richard teamed up with the production duo of Gigi Farina and Franco Rago, best known for their projects 'Lectric Workers, Decadance, Expansives, and Wanexa. Walking In The Neon was written by Rago & Farina with help from Chuck Rolando, member of Italian disco group Passengers. The track's arrangement was done by Italian disco pioneer Celso Valli who wrote club classics for Macho, Azoto, Passengers and Tantra, to name a few.

On the A-side is the Club Version, an uptempo classic that sounds like a dream encounter between mid-80s New Order and hi-NRG legends Patrick Cowley and Bobby Orlando. Clocking in at nearly 9 minutes, it is purely dance-floor oriented on an epic scale, with evolving hooks and melodies. The B-side features a shorter dub version with extended breaks and bass lines. Both songs are remastered for vinyl by George Horn at Fantasy Studios in Berkeley. Pressed on neon orange vinyl, as it was when originally released in 1985.

At the end of 1981, brothers Darrin and Stephen Huss and schoolmate Dwayne Goettel performed for the first time as Psyche in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Their live show was a combination of horror and electronics that was completely unprecedented in Western Canada. Although Goettel and the Huss brothers parted ways before Psyche was to release any material, the masters containing Dwayne Goettel's performances were preserved in the band's vaults.

Now, 19 years after Goettel's untimely passing in 1995, Dark Entries records presents Re-Membering Dwayne, the original Psyche-Dwayne Goettel sessions. All tracks were recorded and mixed on 4-track during a single day in March of 1983. Psyche's early material is visceral and abrasive, a far cry from the sleek, dark synthpop they'd later become known for. Like the body horror films of fellow Canadian David Cronenberg, Psyche disquietingly conflate the organic and the mechanical, calling into question the limits of the human form. Dwayne, who would join Skinny Puppy a few years later, contributes heavily to this more aggressive, disturbing sound.

All songs have been remastered for vinyl by George Horn at Fantasy Studios in Berkeley. Each LP includes a 12-page booklet with excerpts from Darrin Huss' diary, unpublished photos of Psyche with Dwayne, and an essay by Darrin reflecting on Psyche's past and the Goettel legacy as well as lyrics. This collection is a glimpse at the early Canadian industrial scene and the roots of Skinny Puppy. Go take a walk in the past with an ear for the future; you just might learn something.

The 12' is housed in a mind-alerting, metallic silver die-cut sleeve and a neon green label that pops through, featuring the psychic skull transformed into an alien cone head label all designed by Eloise Leigh. Each copy includes a 2-sided 11x11 square insert with black and white photo of the band from 1988 and liner notes by Fred Giannelli.

Dark Entries Editions is venturing into new waters with a remix EP of Psychic TV's classic Acid House song 'Alien Be-In'. Psychic TV was formed by Genesis P-Orridge and Peter Christopherson after the breakup of Throbbing Gristle in 1981. After various line up changes, the band shifted direction to dance oriented songs influenced by the Acid House scene in America. By 1988 experimental electronic musician Fred Giannelli, of Turning Shrines, joined the band and over the next 2 years started to record songs for 'Toward The Infinite Beat'.

The album was a mix of deep, multilayered tracks full of bright and hypnotic dance numbers, providing the soundtrack to the rave culture that sprung up in the UK in the 90s. 'Alien Be-In' was written in early 1989 on an E-mu Emax Sampler and an Alesis MMT-8 sequencer.  Vocal samples were taken from a tape Germs drummer Don Bolles sent to Genesis. A didgeridoo rides throughout the song, heavily modulated by a Gristleizer creating a hypnotic effect. Near the end of the song the breakbeat slides out of time yet the band chose to leave this in because it sounded strange and fit the concept of the track.

Genesis played a spaced out Echo Violin and the band used 360 degree panning rotation devices. For this reissue Fred Giannelli takes a stab at remixing the mono mix of the original sequence sourced from the Emax floppy discs. On the flip are two brand new mixes, the first from Los Angeles based producer, Silent Servant, who updates the classic with his modern brand of driving EBM techno.

The second remix is a team effort from Silent Servant and veteran producer John Tejada, that re-creates the original melody using a Roland TR-808 and TB-303, paying homage to early Chicago Acid House artists like Lil Louis and Robert Owens. All songs have been mastered for vinyl by George Horn at Fantasy Studios in Berkeley.

Dark Entries is proud to introduce the debut album by REDREDRED, a contemporary artist from San Francisco. Michael Wood, formerly of duo Primary Colors, began this project in 2012, taking inspiration from Front 242, Einsturzende Neubauten, Throbbing Gristle, Nietzsche and Sartre. Wood utilizes a simple setup of vintage analog synthesizers and drum machines, and records them on reel-to-reel.

Pattern Completion was originally planned as a 4 song cassette EP that was only released digitally. The A side features remixed and remastered versions of the tracks from the EP. The B side consists of four unreleased tracks, two of which are instrumental. The material on Pattern Completion is strongly influenced by Michael's former live/work studio space in the Bayview District of San Francisco, an area surrounded by recycling facilities and water treatment plants. The songs reflect this industrial atmosphere, stacking treated rhythm box patterns, quivering synthesizers, and mechanical vocals.

All songs have been mastered for vinyl by George Horn at Fantasy Studios in Berkeley. Each LP is housed in a jacket featuring photography by Melissa Joy Bernier and contains a double sided insert 11×11 with lyrics. Pattern Completion develops the strain of futuristic, mutant industrial pioneered by San Francisco groups like Tuxedomoon and Factrix, with REDREDRED adding his own brand of damaged angular rhythms.
