The next single taken from the album, 'Theme From PSB' (12 August), is their summery, banjo-infused calling card which will soundtrack a string of festival slots around the UK. These include headline shows at Secret Garden Party, End Of The Road & Wickerman, plus appearances at Glastonbury, Standon Calling, Green Man and many more. They are also set for two very high profile support slots, with the Rolling Stones at Hyde Park and New Order at Jodrell Bank.
The Independent's Simon Price said of the band : In their love of history, and their understanding of the dignity of the wartime generation, they remind me of British Sea Power, although Stereolab are closer sonically.
PSB are progressive without the florid ornamentation of Prog, dense and complex with not a semiquaver wasted. Factory Floor were originally commissioned by curator Chris Bell of London's Science Museum, to write a live score for Fritz Lang's 1927 silent cinematic landmark, Metropolis.Visit product page →
Widely regarded as a pioneering work of science fiction, Metropolis depicts a dystopian future where a city's downtrodden, exploited underclass of workers secretly plot a revolt.
The 150 minute brand new score was first performed at the Science Museum's IMAX on 28th April 2017, coinciding with the 90th anniversary release of Metropolis and as part of the acclaimed Robots exhibition and event series. Following the success of the London Science Museum event, Factory Floor took to the studio to record the score in its entirety.
Mixed by Nik Void except for Heart of data and Babel which was mixed by award-winning producer Marta Salogni. The box set includes the entire 2.5 reimagined score on four 12". Artwork by British artist Haroon Mirza adapted and arranged by Nik Void in collaboration with illustrator Sam Moore.
Factory Floor are Gabriel Gurnsey and Nik Void, whose electronic improvisational style of performance has seen them at home in gallery spaces like Tate Modern, to clubs like fabric and Berghain to a remote volcanic Island of Stromboli in collaboration with artist Haroon Mirza.
Their critically acclaimed second album 25 25 was released in the summer of 2016 on DFA Records.

The idea for the album originated from their recent much requested, live performances of CARTER TUTTI PLAYS CHRIS & COSEY'which led to an unprecedented series of shows in the U.K., Europe, Scandinavia and North America from 2011 to 2014. These dates in turn instigated so many requests for recordings of the live set that they were inspired late last year to re-record this collection of reworked classic versions in their own Norfolk studio.
Each format will feature an exclusive remixed track - Compact Disc copies feature Vengeance'(Exclusive Remix), the Digital Download album version comes with Synaesthesia'(Exclusive Remix) and the Vinyl edition includes all five tracks from their 2014 U.S. limited tour merchandise CD.
There is also a video to promote the album based on a new Carter Tutti edit of the C&C track Sin (2015)', directed by Gavin Toomey from footage he has been shooting and archiving for a forthcoming Chris & Cosey biographical documentary.

To coincide with the release, Chris & Cosey have announced a very special 'final' Valentines weekend live date by returning to the iconic Heaven Nightclub in London on Sunday the 15th of February 2015.
The show will be the last performance of the Carter Tutti Plays Chris & Cosey'set for the foreseeable future; the founding members of Throbbing Gristle plan to predominately refocus on working in their studio for next couple of years. The duo will then go back into the studio to finish recording a brand new CARTER TUTTI VOID album to be released later in 2015.

The Brian Jonestown Massacre is a psychedelic rock band originally from San Francisco, California, led by guitarist/singer Anton Newcombe. Since 1995 The Brian Jonestown Massacre has released numerous albums, first for Bomp! Records, the label which gave them their start,and later for TVT and Tee Pee. BJM has been essential in the development of the modern U.S. garage scene, and many LA and SF musicians got their start playing with Newcombe, including Peter Hayes of The Black Rebel Motorcycle Club.Originally Newcombe was heavily influenced by The Rolling Stones' psychedelic phase - the name comes from Stones guitarist Brian Jones combined with a reference to cult leader Jim Jones, but his work in the 2000s has expanded into aesthetic dimensions approximating the UK Shoegazing genre of the 1990s and incorporating influences from world music, especially Middle Eastern and Brazilian music.

The year 1980 saw release of this iconoclastic debut LP, first album on the highly collectible Come Organisation label, and first chapter in the long musical career of a then teenage William Bennett after leaving Essential Logic, which subsequently led to the pure electronic Whitehouse and present-day Cut Hands projects.
Also notably featuring synthesiser bass performed by The Normal's Daniel Miller. -
Sami Yaffa has had a long and unique career as a musician. He played at the tender age of 16 on the Finnish punk legends Pelle Miljoona Oy's legendary album Moottoritie On Kuuma. As an original member of the band Hanoi Rocks (1980-85) he recorded 5 albums with the band and toured the world extensively until the tragic events that ended the flight of the pioneering band.Visit product page →
Hanoi Rocks became a major influence on many bands that later became huge like the Guns N'Roses and Pearl Jam. Yaffa's career continued after the break-up of Hanoi and ended up playing with Joan Jett and The Blackhearts, the legendary New York Dolls, the Swedish RnR machine The Hellacopters and many more artists.
Sami began playing with the Hanoi Rocks lead singer Michael Monroe again in 2010, the collaboration with Michael continues to this day.But now it's time to put out an album under his own name. 'The idea for the solo album started to take shape a few years back. I had written music for the New York Dolls and the Michael Monroe Band, but a lot of the songs and ideas were starting to sound more like me than the other bands.' What kind of music does Yaffa then release under his own name? Versatile. 'I've always loved the music of the bands like The Clash and The Rolling Stones. They can play country, funk, reggae and rock`n`roll, and still sound like themselves. I wanted the same kind of versatility for my own album. '
The album has influences on a fairly wide scale, but it hardly surprises those who have followed Yaffa's career: in addition to his own music career, he has been seen getting to know the musical cultures of different parts of the world as a host of the Sami Yaffa: Soundtracker TV series.
'However, the beating heart of the album is in rock`n`roll and punk, I don't shy away from that.' Even though it's a solo album, Yaffa mentions a few of names without whom the album wouldn't have been completed. One being the drummer Janne Haavisto, with whom Sami played already as a teenager. And the other being his Michael Monroe Bands band mate Rich Jones who co-wrote a bulk of the songs with Sami. Also the Stone Sour guitarist Christian Martucci and Smack guitarist Rane played an important role in the creation of the album.
Sami is ready to hit the road after the release of the album with a line up of Janne Haavisto on drums, Linde Lindström (HIM) on guitar and Burton (HIM) on keyboards.

British singer/songwriter Carina Round makes her fourth consecutive Record Store Day release with the 10th Anniversary vinyl debut of her 'Things You Should Know' MLP.
Opening with the anthemic fan-favourite Backseat'and includes the tracks 'Do You' and 'For Everything A Reason' both of which were featured in the TV series American Horror Story: Murder House'. Round has established an immensely loyal and passionate fan base, who have long championed for this release, since of her 2001 debut album 'The First Blood Mystery', proving herself as one of UK's most enigmatic songstresses.
Carina has garnished further recognition as a member of the LA and Jerome AZ based band - Puscifer, with whom she is more recently a member, alongside fellow band mates including Maynard James Keenan, also of the bands Tool and A Perfect Circle.
Round's music has won her fans and collaborators amongst highly regarded musicians such as: Billy Corgan, Dave Stewart and Brian Eno amongst many others.

The American duo The Vacant Lots , release their first 4 track EP on A Recordings which was recorded in Anton Newcombe's studio in Berlin. Anton had the band support The Brian Jonestown Massacre in 2014 & so impressed with their sound offered to produce & remix this 4 track EP (also helping out on guitar, bass & synths too) .
This release takes the monochrome sound of the Vacant Lots and adds a layer of Berlin chill to the mix of all 4 tracks. Featuring lyrics from Jeffery Lee Pierce on the 1st track 'Promise Me' to the disconnected vocals of Astrid Carter on 'Verschwinden' . Then to the shoegazing 'Land ' & finishing with the throbbing beats of 'Funeral Rites'.
The band are supporting the release of this EP, with few dates (see below) . The Vacant Lots released their debut album Departure'via Sonic Cathedral in 2014. Departure'was mixed and mastered by former Spacemen 3 legend Sonic Boom and follows previous single releases on Mexican Summer, Reverberation Appreciation Society and a split 10' with Suicide's Alan Vega on Fuzz Club.
The key element of The Vacant Lots'minimalist, primitive rock'n'roll songs is their boundless energy, which tears up the psych template with a genuine punk spirit. This minimal means maximum effect'aesthetic is something they have developed over the past few years, not least by continuing as a two-piece.
The notion of duality is also a recurring theme, whether in the band's fiercely monochrome artwork or their lyrics, which deal with life and death, love and loss and the human condition. Poetic, but with a streetwise swagger; psych, but with a punk attitude.
To this end, Brian spends most of his spare time working with electronics, building pedals and custom effects. Jared's extra-curricular activities are based around painting and the written word. He had his first book of poetry Empty Space'published in 2014.

Southern California hard rock mainstays FU MANCHU are announcing details of their forthcoming new album, titled "GIGANTOID," out May 26th on the band's own At The Dojo Records distributed throughout the US and Europe via Cargo Records.
After almost 25 years together, and following last year's Scion A/V Club split 7" with friends MOAB and 2009's "Signs of Infinite Power," Scott Hill and company return with their first full-length album in close to five years.
Recorded with Andrew Giacumakis, singer / guitarist for he aforementioned MOAB at his studio in Simi Valley, CA, the album features a slightly more primitive, raw and ultra fuzzed-out sound than previous releases.
"We wrote 17 new songs for this record and got our favorite 9 songs out of that together," says Hill.
"We were planning on releasing a 'part 2' record later this year but have plans for some of the other songs to appear in early 2015 to line up with our upcoming 25-year anniversary."

On saleVisit product page →The KVB release their new immersive and hypnotic album 'Minus One' on November 18th via A Recordings. The album follows hot on the heels of outstanding stand alone single 'Run Away' released on Ample Play Records last month.
The KVB is the audio/visual project of London youngsters Nicholas Wood & Kat Day, who combine reverb heavy wall of sound guitars, minimal haunting strings and grinding bass synths, messed up motorik drum machine beats and delay drenched vocals with a backdrop of imagery to accompany the symphony, that's nothing short of life affirming.
'Minus One' is in fact The KVB's third album, their second full length LP 'Immaterial Visions' which came with an accompanying remix EP, featuring mixes from underground techno pioneers Regis and Silent Servant was only released in February this year.
The KVB is a group with a sense of urgency about it, to do what they need to do, with full commitment and without delay. It's a tangible attitude that runs throughout 'Minus One'.
